Hi, i don't suffer from OCD, but DID, so i can tell you, it develops when you are very young, just a little kid. Your mind creates alters and parts that appear as different identities, so it can cope with things. You can't develop it in adulthood, but only in childhood, when the personality is not fully formed yet. I hope this helps a bit, and you get better support from your OCD peers here.

I don't know if this is entirely true. Some people develop OCD early, but some people experience their first symptoms when they are 18 or even 35.

Luxury, sorry for the confusion, i was talking about DID (formerly knows as MPD), not OCD. I am by no means an OCD expert, like i previously said. I was replying to the question ''when does MPD develop''
