Anyone tried Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, TMS, this novel approach to treat OCD? I have seen it advertised on a Dr Phil Youtube with a Dr Jabour. We now have it available here in Australia but not sure if it is worth a shot. Meds dont work at all for my son. Anyone with info please reply as desperate. Marg

Hi, My question was directed towards therapy for my son. He has won the battle with his OCDs with behavioural therapy but seems to find his BDD is far more difficult a beast. It seems a lot harder to quell the urges when they are attached to negative appearance reflections. I think there would be an association with eating disorders as a body image issue as well. It seems to be amazingly impervious to reason. He knows all the theory but fails to connect the dots. Just interested to see if anyone has used TMS. At least it targets the area that is misfiring. Meds just bomb the whole brain and create side effects. Interested to hear from anyone. Marg
