Hi,

I was reading some postings and I also saw a mention of my site theocdsite and so I figured I would introduce myself.

I work with three volunteers on our site which is now a separate section on fbpn who a freind of mine owns. Including him, we are all members of the ocd family. We plan to have a dedicated separate site in about three or four months. You view the site you will only see this section links so you stay in this ocd section. There is one home link because seach engines get mad if you don't have a home link. We are funding the site ourselves and we don't want any of your money. That is unusal because everyone who gives more than two minutes of their time to me for ocd wants mine. I see some neat stories here and there are a few ocders I see with resposibility ocd and and pure O which I know little about. I have the intrusive thoughts ocd, and alot od that seems like resonsibility, with me feeling like I need to do rituals to cancel out a negative thought about a member of my family or some negative thing will happen and it's all my fault so I get the guilt and all that.

The three of us are all in behavior therapy and working hard. The main idea for our newly formed support site, is to try to have people with ocd write personal stories about themselves, such as those who are having success, tell how you did it. If you are in behavior therapy, what parts are working and what do you have trouble with and talk about it. Or how does your behavior therapist do their therapy or if you have improved symptoms because of a certain med and many say I am say, 30% better. What does that mean specifically? I have a hard time understanding when someone tells me that. What part is better? Also I havr read some wonderful inspirational stories on how a person is dealing with their ocd and how it has changed them indivisually and how they feel about having ocd. Are they mad, frustrated, positive or negative attitude, whatever. You can find se few stoires and hae to look all over to find them. But they are so beneficial and have helped me alot.

So we want to compile a whole bunch of personal stories and all in one easy to find place. You don't have to use real name, site has no cookies, crackers or cake, no email given to nooobody. You can write one paragraph or a whole page. We have the space. Just write it and we will post it. Just tell us what state you are from or country. You can update it as often as you want or it can be one time thing. I hope you will write because they really help so much and we can see different ways to deal with ocd when several people with the same thing like checking tell us what they are doing. We are putting to gether a list of ocd forums and this will be in it, and we don't ask for donations, so hopefully we won't be in competition with anyone.

In addition we got lots of research studies looking for for us to try new stuff, and if you have a local support group we'll stick that on too.
