Fear of batteries?

Just curious if this is a problem for anyone else.

I find it to be odd that I will go out in the middle of hurricanes or some of the other crazy things that I've done but batteries have the ability to put me in a shaking panic.

The AA, AAA, C, D batteries(and of course the watch batteries) do not bother me so much. I will not hold them in my hands for too ...

Doors & Cash Register Phobia

For a very long time I've had a fear of paying for things at a cash register. I think it's very noticeable too. I panic so badly that I can't count the money correctly and sometimes give the wrong amount. When the person behind the register says " You're missing x amount of $", I panic even more. I can't gather my thoughts to count it correctly. It's so embarrassing. I fidget all nervously and ...

Phobia of making out

I'm 20 years old, and I have a serious fear of making out. Normal kissing doesn't bother me, sex doesnt either. I'm fine with physical touch in every other way-its just the making out that really gets me.
Basically, its the technicallity of french kissing that I'm terrified of. Sex, cuddleing, what have you...its all pretty straight forward (this is why I'm not worried about it). But making out seems to require a huge amount ...

New San Diego, CA Phobia Support Group!

San Diego Phobia Support Group

I have started this group because I was unable to find any support in San Diego! I would really like to create a group where people with phobias can meet and talk. This is a group for people who have phobias (untreated, in progress, or treated) and would like to get together for support and motivation. This is not a professional support group but rather a forum to connect with ...

I'm afraid of men.

I am not racist or prejudice, but native american men, mexican men and black men scare me the most, then all other races fall below that. I'm afraid of all men, but if there were a mexican man and a white man standing next to each other I'd be MORE afraid of the mexican man. I know where the fears come from, but not why I'm more afraid of one than the other.
I was ...

fear of being alone

I am absolutely terrified of being alone. I'm rarely left by myself and when I am I'm not sure what to do with myself. I cry and sometimes have panic attacks. I'm afraid to be away from my boyfriend. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any advice on how to cope with or get over my fear? Thanks

Afraid of..

I have what I believe is unusual compared to most I've talked to. I seem to be the exact opposite of a Claustrophobic. I absolutely cannot stand windows, doors, etc. etc. being open whatsoever. It's an odd feeling like I am too open to the world. This affects me greatly also in open spaces outdoors and in shopping centers. This unfortunately is one of many reasons I stay home.

not sure about this one...

Hey guys,
When I was younger I had a friend who had joined the cadet system, and was trying to convince me to join. He said that to join I needed to have a medical examination form my doctor and that his doctor had pricked his finger (obviously looking at his BGLs, he's not diabetic, I guess the doctor was just being thorough). Just hearing that his finger was getting pricked was enough to deter ...
