Hi, Has anyone here been able to recover from BDD? I'd like to know someone's personal experience and what sort of thought changes were instrumental to their recovery. Would really appreciate any stories.

Diet and exercise can make a drastic difference

Look how different the twin who exercised and dieted excessively looks. her whole bone structure is more effeminate. http://www.drphil.com/shows/show/784/

Not eating as much isn't necessarily that bad of an idea in the long run. Girls who don't diet properly end up becoming toads it seems like.

Suffering from blurred vision and having headache!

Hi, I am suffering from blurred vision and often have headaches. I fear it is some transient disorder, but it could be something more serious. Can someone suggest me as to what to do? Your suggestion would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Taking lots of Photos & BDD

Is this a symptom of BDD?

If you are constantly taking photos of yourself and posting them on forums, where you might get feedback, which is usually always positive. At the same time you're also making threads about how ugly you are and you can't leave the house sometimes yet you can take close up photos and accept compliments?

Is that seeking attention or would that be considered BDD?

I think it's just vanity as ...

screw them

Yes tell people everything is cool, but at the same time everybody is the enemy. That sounds blunt but it seems like a lot of this stuff is associated with being stuck in a happy-go-lucky mindset. Yes your family is sacred but if something is messing with you you have to react. As well, if somebody bombs your house and kills everybody you know you have to be able to escape and survive on your ...

Join Pain!

I have been doing Muay Thai for years and started doing BJJ recently. After every training session, my joints are killing me to the point where I cannot even finish my training. Can anyone else experience joint pain when grappling? Usually our classes consist of 30 minutes of technical work and 30 minutes of totally out rolling.

mirrors

Hi. I'm an 18 year old male, and ever since I can remember I've hated the way I look. It didn't bother me all that much until I entered high school. I was 14 years old, weighed nearly 200 pounds, and I thought I was ugly as sin. I did go on a diet and I dropped down to my normal weight within a year. However, around this time I became completely obsessed about my ...
