I'm sure a lot of you here can relate to me.

Since I've never posted here before I think I should tell you a little bit about me. I am female, 23 years old, and I like most things about myself. I'm a nice person, reasonably intelligent, responsible, and can be funny and entertaining when I'm comfortable with someone.

The problem is: For my entire life, I have had incredible difficulty forming relationships of any ...

I'm sure something along these lines has been posted before. I'm just looking for good books on social phobia/anxiety/AvPD.

Also, has anyone really found any texts on their problems helpful, or just redundant. I can't imagine finding anything I don't already know...

But I'm still hopeful, if you've read anything that really helped you out I'd appreciate a post/link.

This is going to be kind of a long post, but I feel like I want to write to kind of organize my thoughts about myself, so here we go.

my social anxiety is kinda weird. ive never had trouble talking to people with authority. but sometimes i feel quite anxious when im eating around other people. im afraid that i'll let my guard down. or sometimes i think that another person should have not said what he just said, and that makes me anxious. also sometimes if i consider the person cool but he has like a unibrow and i start thinking that looks ...

im bipolar, when im hypomanic or manic my social anxiety dissapears. but more often im depressed, when im depressed im also socially anxious. the combunation is the worst feeling in the world. ive tryed antideppressants in the past and they actually made my social anxiety worse. well ive really only tryed one effexor, maybe their are better ones. lithium helps moderatly with the social anxiety. but im a tennis player and cant play competitvely on ...

i'm just wondering, how do you live if you have social anxiety disorder? for example if you're terrified of going to get a job or anything like that?

We are expecting talking and smile, but at most time, the eye phobia are passive.

We are unbelieving, and are suspected when there's contradiction.
