Newbie Hello

Hey everyone,

I posted something in the narcissistic forum, but I say a quick hello here too.
I am 24 and only recently found there is a name for my 'extreem shyness'. I am on medication for my social anxiety + panic attacks. Ive also found meditation benificial.
I am unemployed, live with my boyfriend and have no friends. Me in a nutshell. lol.

Mild to moderately shy

I'll start with a little background. I'm a 19 (soon to be 20) year old college sophomore, an undergrad psych student. In high school I had pretty severe social anxiety. I basically didn't have friends, I was afraid to talk to people on the phone and in person, unless I knew them really well. When I tried to make friends it usually didn't work out because I was way too shy.

Ok this maybe be the wrong forum but idk where else to go

So I get these affection attacks like i really need to hug or show affection to someone. Its some time mild sometime really strong. But the minor attacks are spontaneous while the major ones usually come after some trauma thanks for the help. and again im new so this is probably the wrong forum.

newbie post on cruelty

how do you deal with others who think you're stuck up or snooty or just freakish?
i've recently encountered a few people like this. i've seen and heard them make reference to my "strangeness."
it really hurts because they don't realize that i am actually coherent and intelligent enough to know when someone is implying that there is something wrong with me... i feel like a freak most of the time, but having it acknowledged ...

Do you have a socially unacceptable phobia?
