News of Psychotic Disorders

I had an episode with severe paranoid delusions and subsequently diagnosed with polymorphic psychotic disorder. Does anybody know what's this? Why not schizophrenia?

I was hoping someone maybe able to help answer my question. Schizophrenia is caused by a chemical biological imbalance in the brain. I have searched everywhere on the net and I cannot find what the test is that psychiatrists use to determine if a patient has this imbalance when giving a diagnosis of schizophrenia?

When a schizophrenic hears voices do they hear them from outside of their body as though an actual, tangible person were speaking to them or are the voices inside the brain and they get the idea it's an actual person? I hope I made sense.

Im schizophrenic and somtimes I get this buzzing sound in my head and my head feels are weird and light headed it doesnt go away for hours and I dont do any drugs does anyone else get this?
