This is my first post here, I don't know why it's taken me so long to find a site like this. I can already tell that there are a lot of people on this site with experience in this subject already.

Get ready to read, cuz this is the second draft of my life story.

Was this Delusional Disorder?

Hi everyone. I'm curious as to what some behaviors and false beliefs that I had when I was younger classified as. They were disturbing to me because they permanently affected my relationship with a family member.

When I was around 12 I started believing that this family member was constantly watching women. I was obsessed with catching them watch women as they walk away or if they were too friendly as well as what they ...

Is this schizophrenia or something else?

My friend told me out of nowhere that he suspects that I have paranoid schizophrenia. It came as a surprise.

I’m nervous almost all the time. I suffer from an irrational, illogical delusion that I am going to vomit any time I do anything that has made someone get sick before, even though I know it will not and has not happened to me every other time I’ve done it. It has no basis in ...

Triggering Hallucinations

If I am alone and hearing a clock ticking, I am almost certain to have an intense and terrifying hallucination (its always the same vision/sound.) Are any of your hallucinations triggered by something?
Just curious..

Antipsychotics?

Are any of you on antipsychotics? The doctors want me to try them...I'm scared because I just came off of being highly addicted to Paxil for 4 years...Are there bad side effects? Which kind should I stay away from? Thanks.

Lesion in the basal ganglia and temporal lobe can cause DD?

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? My mother is not responding to therapy and obviously refuses meds, despite being diagnosed with DD at Stanford Medical Center.

If this is true, would it be possible that the laser removal of the lesion might control DD?

Thank you,

Ocean
