Depressive PD- my experience & searching for fellow beings

Hey there. I've registered to this forum a long time ago but never wrote anything in here ever since.
I have Avoidant Personality Disorder, Selfdeserting Subtype, which means I have features of Depressive PD as well.
My Avoidant features cause me trouble, mainly because I'm unable to approach people and therefore am very socially isolated. I also have a problem expressing warm emotions, which makes me appear to be unfriendly at times, cuz I often ...

What do you think of my Cluster D and E Idea?

Cluster D - Gloomy
People in the Cluster D AKA Gloomy Category are usually always in a sad or unhappy mood. In fact they're so involved in their sadness that they never look for positive moods. They indulge in their unhappiness. These people are usually depressing to be around.
Personality Disorders in this cluster are:
Depressive
Masochistic
Negativistic
Cluster E - Zealous
People in the Cluster E AKA Zealous Category are the hustlers. They're usually ...

AvPD v DPD (NOS)

What do you think is the difference between Avoidant Personality Disorer and Depressive Personality Disorder? I have features of both, however I am not completely socially inept compared to other avoidants. I am very depressive by nature. I used to think that I am a highly functioning avoidant, but perhaps I have just DPD.

Sabotaging yourself

Let's see if I can liven up this subforum...probably not- but really should be more people posting in here..

Anyway, the topic at hand is sabotage- but more likely how you consistently , illogically and almost ...compulsively end up sabotaging yourself.

My primary example of this is that my level of procrastination is so bad that I will not do things that I want to do and are ultimately necessary and very important. My biggest ...

What makes you think you have a personality disorder?

Hello everyone. My oh my this forum is awfully dead isn't it? Lets get this PDNOs forum going shall we? Or is it ignored because it has to be under the shadow of the histrionic forum? :p

This is primarily for those that feel iffy about a PD diagnosis or think they may have one. In other words for the hesitantly diagnosed or those that are ...

Sadistic Personality Disorder

First off, before anyone says anything, yes, I know this is in the wrong place. I looked and couldn't find any place for it.

Either way, to the question I had, is it possible to be multiple types of sadist at the same time? What I mean is a mix of, for example, explosive and tyrannical, or tyrannical and enforcing.

am i a sadist :(

I know I've put this in the wrong topic but I didn't know where else to put it and I'm desperate.I'm not going to write an whole essay im just going to come out and say it I like seeing women in pain, whether it be emotional or physical, in real life or in film. For example there was a film and I rewatched over and over a scene in which my favourite (female) character ...

Any traits of your PD, which are "protective" for you?

Often, I find that many nons are devastated by break-ups, bad news, et al. For me (other than MAJOR LIFE EVENTS--death of a loved one, divorce, et al.) I'm usually able to "bounce back" and move on. Especially, when there is foul play or an attempt to manipulate/hurt me. I believe that this ability is in part due to some of the disordered traits of my personality.

Does anyone else feel that some of the ...

I think I have a personality disorder? Is there hope?

I feel like Im really different, not in a good way. Im 20 and attracted to 'lack of empathy' types and chase them (eg narcissists, anti socials, schzioids). If any 'normal' people show interest (which they usually dont because of my low self esteem) I get scared- I either treat them as perfect and ask nothing of them/serve them like a slave (which freaks people out) or I get the hell out of there (usually ...
