Can pedophiles get non sexual crushes on kids?

Because I seemed to have had that where I got the butterflies around them and loved their company, but I didnt think of them sexually. Do pedophiles do that to start out with, or is there always a sexual part to it?

Can anyone tell me why they have to put kids in every single TV commercial? It makes life so difficult for me....I think it's the biggest source "triggers" I have, since I don't hang around kids or anything. Luckily we just got DVR so maybe I can fast forward them ...if I have the will power.
