I just finished reading this amazing aspergers book last night. It's called 'Martian in the playground' by Clare Sainsbury, has anyone else read it?

With the exception of some things discussed in it, it is the story of my childhood at school.
I found that page after page I could relate to virtually everything being discussed.
I got it as a gift from my uncle (he has AS) and I am so grateful to him ...

Just wondering if Aspie traits effect your religious preference. Being that we seem to be able to think more logically I would assume that we would be inclined toward the Atheist side of the scale but I don’t like to assume things so please poll.

A little background first.

I go to the doc to get med for what I suspect is Bipolar II - I have self diagnosed as it is impossible to get into see a psychiatrist until January. Anyhoo.. My gp has been through the ropes with me for about 2 years now. We have tried various ssri's and buspar. Now we are trying Seroquel.

i was abused verbally and mentally as a child, and also sexually abused. i witnessed my father pull a knife on my sister and him threaten to kill my mother again and again.

when my father found out about the sex abuse, i wasn't believed and was accused of trouble-making and lying.

i know this sounds weird, but the sex abuse didn't affect me as much as the varbal and emotional stuff.
