Abused as a kid...

When I was a kid, I would go to my grandparents' house every weekend with my family. It all started when I was 8 and one of those weekends at grandpa's, my uncle (who lived there) called me to his room and he told me to lay down and watch TV for a while and that's what I did... He started touching me, first my belly and then my private parts... I couldn't do anything, ...

Teenaged and confused.

I'm a teen, a girl, and I'd really appreciate it if you read my story, and possibly offer a few words of guidance.
A few weeks ago, after months of countless attempts at improving my eating and exercising habits (to no avail), I was searching the internet and came across the word 'binge'. One thing led to another, and soon enough I'd discovered the ADA's informational page about Binge Eating Disorder. And it really scared ...

How did you discover you had DID?

This is something I have wondered about a lot. How other people discovered they had DID? For me it was a combination of noticing time loss and people started noticing and saying things about us acting strange or not answering to our name or calling ourselves different names, apparently we weren't very subtle in the beginning. Since then it has been a long road trying to discover more about myself and I have some sort ...

^it's very concise don't worry

so I always thought that the fact that my parents were going to send me away unexpectedly and without warning when I was a young adolescent was maybe one of the causes of my pd, and this new research confirms this.

I always knew childhood sexual trauma was a risk factor for borderline personality disorder, so I wasn't surprised there. my ...

Difference Between ?

Hey , I hope you guys won't mind me posting here. Is there a big difference between Schizotypal personality disorder and Schizoid personality disorder? I don't know much about either , I've only read a couple of articles. Do you guys think the two PDs are alike or completely different? To me it sounds like Schizotypal PD is SPD plus a kind delusion about reality , I think? Feel free to correct me , please.

Aspd: Categorically different or EXTREME variant of normal p

Some theorists conceive of personality disorders as categorically different from normal personalities, while other theorists view personality disorders as being extreme variants of normal personalities or personality traits (Widiger, 1993).

What do you guys think?

I think Aspd is an extreme variant of normal personality, but psychopathy is categorically different because there are specific and fundamental differences in psychopathy.

by the way, what is the normal p-type for Aspd? I read some where that on ...
