...supposedly Muhamed Ali wrote the world's shortest poem beating out another poem...
... therefore the world's shortest poem was originally called:

FLIES

Running a demolition derby in my mind,
If I knew best I’d hurry and fade away to die.
But luckily I don’t know best, so the story is told,
If I were smart I’d try again, do my best to grow old.
So give me a shot, give me a beer,
Give me a dose of reality, it’s what I want to hear,
Light my smoke or tell a joke, don’t worry,
You’ve got nothing ...

Pieces of a puzzle, parts of a whole
I feel complete though I'm missing parts of a soul
Putrid pestering, make belief
I feel drained and I'm a mile short of relief

Confused by the wheel that turned around
Mistook the scream for a whimpering sound
Lost in reasoning, this endless debate
And all along my enemy was my hate

Scraps of paper, the sharp of steel
I feel empty though I devoured every meal ...

I am the antagonist in a play of my own device,
As high as kite I move through the night,
I will never make the same mistake twice,
Yet the potholes on the road never cease,
My illusions seek release,
My delusions cease to appease,
I find the failure that I seek
At least,
I can find humor in the fact I’m a freak

The antagonist rarely wins in the end of a movie or ...

This is a Haiku about my state right now:


Lost within myself
Today I begin to cry
Tomorrow comes next

Pride

You broke something inside of me,
Something vital id like returned.
You set my inner demon free,
You got something you haven’t earned.

You make me wish I could turn back time,
To set some of this misery right.
You’re kisses start to taste more like lime,
And your face turns sour when I’m in sight..

You don’t know what to do with me!
So you break me up inside.
You wont know something’s ...

In the absence grows the heartache,
the passing of time seals lost loves fate.

With the distance grows the divide,
love marches on till its to late.

I wrote this poem today as a tribute? to the irony of my depression. I just got up the courage to email the love of my life after 4 years of battleing my self esteme to the point where I felt I deserved her love.

Course ...

as the rejected
and the ostracized
sit among the downcast
in the arenas
of the citadels
where the citizens of the earth find hope

and the music
of the scorned
sounds throughout the corridors
of the institutes
of the infidels
where the martyrs of this age find peace

you might hear me
when i call you
you might see me in the mazes of the marvelous
where exalted
and defiled
you once knew me in ...

Goodbye fellow friend.
Words I never expected to say.
You lived your life to the fullest, right to the end.
I will continue to think about you each and every day.
