confused

hey so i seem to be a bit weird. i don't know if it's OCD because it doesn't seem too bad but it does get annoying. for example, if i'm running the bath i have to flush the toilet and then let the bath water run until the toilet has finished filling up again. i can't stop the bath water before then or something bad may happen. it's weird.

Do I have OCD?

Well, I've read alot about it and it really seems like I do but I don't know. For example, I do really weird things sometimes because of it... Like, I have to place the carpet at the right angle everytime, I have to put the tv volume to anything that starts by the pattern 0,5,10,15,etc. It's so weird. And, I have to put my cover the right way when I sleep, I have to get ...

What OCPD looks like from the outside...

I take care of a child whose father has OCPD and is the main caregiver...

1) is preoccupied with details, rules, lists, order, organization, or schedules to the extent that the major point of the activity is lost.
For the first 6 months I worked for them, I was given a detailed list of what and when to feed their 16month old; ie, 8oz of milk at 10:00am. I was told which cup to use ...

OCPD family member? If/when/how to intervene?

Hello,
I apologize for the length of this post!

I am actually posting about my brother whom I am not close to but recently visited. I became alarmed on several occasions during the visit. Without giving you the family history, I am really just looking for advice on whether I am overanalyzing the situation, and if not, what is an appropriate way to bring this up?

In a nutshell... My brother is 35 years old, ...

Recently Divorced my husband due to OCDP

I left my husband in March and our divorce just recently went through. I always thought he had some sort of anxiety disorder, but I am just now realizing that it's probably OCDP. I still love him so much, I wish I could help him. The signs:

1. First, the cleanliness. He demanded that the house was clean at all times. If he came home from work and things weren't how he wanted (e.g. say ...

SATs are 3 days away and I am a mess.

First of all, I'm already in a better mood that I finally found a forum for OCPD. I've been sitting here for hours, and all I could find what OCPD is, but nothing about any help. I apologize for the long post, hopefully the more details I give, the better.

Last year, I created a budget from an Excel spreadsheet, and it eventually got to the point where it is my whole life plan. I ...

Compulsive Hoarding

Hi,
what should I do?
I can't seem to throw anything away. Like unless its really broken, and then even broken things I can think of a use for them. but I can't manage this for very long. It takes so much time to find something, because I have too much stuff. And then I leave things in piles because I can not sort out where they go because there are too many different things. ...

Could my sister have OCPD?

For a while now, my younger sister has been increasingly focused of perfection and order. It's become so bad that it's ruining my family's life. I was browsing through the Internet trying to research her symptoms and OCPD is what I found.

This is the DSM-IV-Tr criteria for the condition (some of you will certainly be familiar with it, I'm just putting it up for reference) -

Preoccupation with details, rules, lists, order, organization, or ...

Catchy Title for More Viewing Purposes... OCPD.

Hello.. I need a little reassuring.
I know i'm rather young for a diagnosis for OCPD (i'm 14), but it's becoming a concern for me now. I'm afraid that if I continue like this, when I'm older it will hurt me.

I'm noticing these 'flaws' in myself. Like these:

1. I'm very critical of others, especially with grammar. I'm constantly correcting people and they don't really like it. But to be honest- I don't care. ...
