News of Munchausen by Proxy

I have a friend who is *constantly* taking her animals to the vet. She has 3 dogs and 4 cats and is at the vet at least twice a week. She doesn't seem to cause her animals to become sick but takes them in because they're "acting funny" or something equally as vague. If one of the animals throws up she's off to the vet immediately. I think she sees herself as a very caring ...

I had thought MBP was a parent/child thing, but I recently got interestested in it and did some research. I found mention that it also happened between adult caregivers and the adults they took care of. I'm not finding much more about it. Any one know any links?

What in the world could you do, if you found out someone was deliberately making a person ill, to protect future victims? It would be impossible to ...

I wasnt very much a victim of MBP...but I do know my mom got something out of me being sick and ill. She didnt make me sick, or ill herself but had a certain thing about it. Are their low level indications that a person might have MBP? It seems my daughter in law never goes to the same doctor. This might be partially due to finances, but it seems she goes to different clinic (free) type places.

Does MBP deal ONLY with med (illness) aspects or is there a form that deals solely with emotional/mental harming?
