I am 42 and ashamed to say I'm 305 lbs heaviest I've ever been. When I was younger my father always dieted with me which was a huge help but he passed suddenly in 2009 and ever since then I've had a tough time getting motivated to loose weight even with help from other people. Trying to find a way to break through this mental barrier so I can become healthier and looking better for ...

There are a lot of replies here from the general topic's; I haven't read them all as I pretty much try to focus on late 2018 enteries to current 2019.

How we dream? Maybe found below:
I ask becuase, I have ...

Only eat 1200 cals and burn 1800 still gaining weight.

Ive been on a 1200 cal diet for a year with an exercise plan that burns 1800 to 2000 cals a day. I have put on almost 50 pounds in the last year.

Is this a metabolic issue or could my psych med (latuda 120 mil 2x a day chloropromazine 100 mils a day) be causing this?

Basic weight loss plan..

Hi,

This will definatly not relate to everyone and I would even say won't relate to most.

I’m not a binge eater, I’m not considered obese or for that matter heavy set.
I’m 6’’3 #lbs and my goal is to be healthy overall and lose about #lbs.

This is my starters basic plan for the next month at least:
(i can always upgrade the plan, but to not demotivate myself i'm starting off relatively easy) ...

Deadlifts

Do you do them? If so, how often, and with what intensity? If not, why?
i've found that five sets of five a week is enough for me (plus warmups of course).
What's your routine?

I've heard that its the best way to burn up stomach fat and get abs.

Bodybuilding

I just checked out an ad (on this forum, so I'm not endorsing anything PF isn't endorsing) for a pill combination that's supposed to help men burn fat and build muscle. It's endorsed by a couple of celebrities and the advertisers claim that it was developed by the US military for their soldiers, etc.

I'm female, but I'd like to try it. I'm aging (41 yrs old), and intend to fight the sag with my ...

What fitness and nutrition certification should I go with?

Serious question ...

Looking for second career to keep me busy & am looking to finally get a job that I enjoy. Would like to be a general fitness trainer at the gym and am looking for a course that is comprehensive, not-crazy hard, and a good value for the money. It would need to be primarily distance learning, something internationally recognized preferred, a year or less to complete, and the cost under $4K.
