Help me to choose the right drug

I already tried ambien and trazadone. Ambien worked for a very short time and i dont think trazadone ever worked. I dont think my neurologist is a good one, i told him these drugs were not working for me and he basically said that my insomnia is my fault, that i just have to work on my sleep hygiene and to keep taking these drugs. He didnt even asked me questions about my life style, ...

Did anybody tried this ?

I've seen on internet au site proposing a method to induce sleep by using "vibrations word" calculated on old hebraic Kabbalah .( :?:
I't seems to be a scam but who knows.

*Information regarding technique removed by Mod - please PM this user if interested in finding out information to look this method up on the internet.*

Reading

My brother and my cousin's husband got into a conversation regarding reading to help get to sleep.

I was wondering if anyone has been trying this and what has been your experience?

I'm currently reading a book on behavioral assessment, to try and bore me enough into sleeping. I'm not sure how it is working as of yet because I just started, but will let you know if I get any good results.

INSOMNIA RESEARCH

Hi Everyone!

I came on here because I am doing a project. I am an actor and I want to raise awareness of insomnia and so I am doing a piece about a woman who loses her partner, the stress of it leads to her insomnia. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the effects they feel or if they've been in a similar situation how they've gotten themselves on the right track. I ...

trouble sleeping, for years

I've had difficulty sleeping for years, but I guess lately it's come to a head. I think there's a multitude of problems: I'm a light sleeper, I get anxious about sleeping due to all the difficulty I've had for years, and I also get hypnagogic hallucinations.

Things have just been becoming unbearable. I have read quite a few books trying to perfect my sleep hygiene. I'll be honest though, I haven't really committed to the ...

Wired

I want to know if anyone else has experienced this...
I'm on Clonidine to make me fall asleep which has always been my problem--I can't control when I fall asleep no matter how long I've been awake--but I thought that the medicine was causing me to wake up in the middle of the night all wired and hyper (mentally and physically) so I stopped taking it, got on something else blahblahblah, until finally coming back ...

my story...

I decided to register on this site to get support as I'm dealing with my insomnia. I think of my situation as unique, but it's obvious from glancing through the posts in this forum that I'm not alone..at all!

I've experience chronic insomnia for about 10 years. My insomia is MOTN- I have no trouble falling asleep, but always wake up at least once during the night and have trouble falling back asleep. I've tried ...

Unable to sleep at night. No matter how tired during the day

I had a very bad stomach sickness last week. It left me away from work for 3 days. After that, it was the weekend where I usually like to sleep in.

My normal sleeping patterns were about 12 midnight until 7:30am. I start work at 8:30am.

I have a BIG problem now. I cannot sleep. Last two nights I fell asleep at 3:30-4:30 am. Still having to get-up for work at 7:30am. Let me tell ...

insomnia cure?

well usually it takes me several hours to sleep but lately i've tried something new which has dramatically changed me... I'm wondering if others tried it and it would also work?

basically breathe as normal, every time that you "breathe out" count from 1-100 and start over when reach 100. If at any point a thought comes in, create in your cellphone's notepad a "thought to do list" and this will work as a reminder ...

An odd side-effect of my insomnia.

I'm new to the forum, and technically this falls under both insomnia and probably a side-effect of my mild OCD, but I don't know which forum this would be better suited to.

I've been an insomniac since I was about 16, I'm currently 34. I've long since lost any natural circadian rhythm, (I can sleep any time, day or night and anytime in between with no ill effects) and it's difficult for me to sleep ...
