Strange Nap

As if battling Insomnia is not enough???

I had another rough night tossing and turning and trying to sleep. I was extremely tired as soon as I sat down at my desk at work. I drank 3 cups of coffee and was wondering how many cups today is this going to take??? I dosed off at least once between cup 1 and cup 2. I had to get up a few times just to shake ...

Vicious Cycle

New here! Thought I could share a little with you all.

I have been having trouble sleeping off and on for a little over a year now. I never thought I would experience Insomnia. I was diagnosed with GAD last year. Suddenly, things made more since to me. I was also diagnosed with MDD. I had hit rock bottom. I woke up one day and decided I didn't want to be here anymore. I thought ...

Really need sleep advice, help would be appreciated

You see, my sleeping patterns are notorious for being random.
It can go one of four ways -- either I get a full night's sleep (which is rare), I wake up about a dozen times while I'm sleeping, I only sleep for only 2-5 hours and can't sleep anymore after that, or I don't sleep at all. When I do manage to get sleep, it's not restful at all. I'm usually groggy, plagued by migraines ...

Laying down = wide awake, standing up = instantly tired

When I lay in my bed I'm instantly energetic and lay there for hours and hours until I get bored enough to fall asleep, but soon as I stand up/sit up I am instantly tired. So here I am at 3AM eating one of my niece's Popsicle typing this up.

insomnia type problems

My roommate never gets a full night sleep. She often wakes up in the wee hours before it is light and says that she needs to smoke weed to get back to sleep. She is a prolific weed smoker and never seems to be outside of its influence. She was on ambien for over a year but I think she is off now. She also has very strange reactions to alcohol. After only a few ...

Help me? What's wrong with me?

I've had sleeping problems since I can remember. When I was younger I could barely get out of bed in the morning and would sleep through my alarm. It was shocking... I would do anything to sleep in and I was almost physically unable to get out of bed. My body just didn't want to respond? I also slept walked, talked, slept with eyes open (apparently this isn't overly uncommon in children).

I stay up ...

Insomnia

My insomnia message didn't show up either so I'm just testing here. I start my new meds this week so hopefully things get better for me soon. I'm tired of not getting any sleep. I'm here for support and will support others in any way that I can.

Occasional, specific insomnia anyone?

Hello, this is the first time I've posted to a forum concerning this topic so hopefully I've found a suitable place!

About 4 years ago I barely slept one night prior to trip away to meet up with some old university friends. I was the driver (about a 200 mile trip), taking with me my wife and a friend. Now, I was anxious due to feelings of insecurity/insignificance about my then job, compared with perhaps ...

I can't sleep.

And NOT ONE of the plethura of sleeping medications i've tried has helped. I'm up to 300mg of Trazadone and I'm still not sleeping. That usually knocks people right out. Maybe I'm medication resistant? Or invincible? I've tried ambien, sonata, lunesta, rozerum, restoril, seroquel, and trazadone. Nothing works. No matter how long I'm up I just can't sleep. Help!!! I'm soooo tired. Maybe i'll sleep tomorrow.
