So confused

I originally thought that the whole eight-hours-of-sleep thing was just a very popular joke. But then I was told that hardly being able to sleep for 30 minutes straight is almost an alien concept. Can I get this cleared up?
Thank you.

I stay awake for 32 hours and sleep for 18 hours

I've been on this schedule for quite some time. I go to work sometimes in the middle of night, sometimes during the day. Is it normal to stay awake for 32 hours and sleep for 18 hours for extended periods of time? I have always had this sleep disorder, during college I would pull all nighters frequently and then sometimes even skip days in a week due to my extended sleep-stay awake cycle. In high ...

Medication...where do you get yours from?

I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to ask this on here but pretty desperate so here goes.
I've been taking zopiclone for about 3 years now. I'm addicted and when my anxiety is very bad (like at the moment) I end up taking 2 or 3 per day to get me through it. Life is hell without it. My new doctor stopped my diazepam and that's when I started taking zopiclone more than once ...

DSPD- What worked for you?

Hi. I've been suffering from DSPD for nine years now. Light therapy didn't work, Melatonin (1 mg), only put to sleep for two hours. I've been giving anti-psychotics for sleep, but they've stopped working. I'm in despair... All I want is to sleep at night.

Any tips, advice? I truly need it.

Thanks in advance.

Sleep deprivation impairs facial appearance

According to the findings of a new study, people who have trouble getting a sound night sleep are more likely to have an impaired facial appearance, including features involving the eyes, mouth and skin.

Such people, researchers say, have dropping eyelids, more wrinkles, redder and swollen eyes, darkened areas under the eyes as compared to the well-rested counterparts. Sleep deprived people also look sadder, the researchers said.

This is actually getting hilarious, so sleep deprived

So 6 hours ago I took 1 restoril, 1 ambien and 100 mg of seroquel and STILL only got one hour of sleep out of the deal. I'm so sleep deprived, all I can think of is death, I think it's the only way I'll ever sleep. Because I can't afford Michael Jackson's doctor.
