OK, here's one for the record books.

After our big blow-up a couple of days ago, (and further discussion about it last night), my HPD bf sent me this email this morning:

"Are you willing to discuss problem ownership? In my opinion, very many, almost all the major blowups we have had are because I do something that you cannot accept, and I do a lot of things....I have no problem being the way I ...

I just had a "conversation" with my HPD. I'm left with the image of a cat playing with a mouse.

When I start to finally move away, let go, get some distance, he's like a cat placing its paw on a mouse's tail to stop it in it's tracks.

I think I might have HPD. I have gone to psychs and counselors for my anxiety and depression, and they have treated me for that. When I read the characteristics of HPD, I find that most of them apply to me...which is very scary. None of the doctors or counselors said anything about this disorder, but I feel like I might have a classic case. Would they come out and tell me something like that? ...
