AI in Psychology for mental health. Does it Work?

:?: Hello everyone,
The essence of my problem is that I am afraid of consultations with psychologists and do not particularly want to reveal my skeletons to a stranger, and I found a new direction on the Internet - AI chatbots for psychologists *mod edit*. And so I wanted to ask you, has anyone used this service, is everything confidential there? Does it help at all? Maybe ...

I think i sexually assaulted my ex

I think i sexually assaulted my ex... I had a relationship with my ex when I was 17-18M, and the relationship was a toxic one that lasted a year. In hindsight, both of us weren't stable and we definitely weren't compatible with a lot of differing life values.

Recently, i remembered a few scenarios where I ignored her discomfort in sexual scenarios. We never had sex, but we did heavy petting in public frequently. Initially, ...

I found my biological parents

Well it was a few months ago and it wasn't really intentional either

Anyway long story short:
Mother denied even giving birth to me and the person who she named as my dad is(imo) an imposter

I'm not even bothered to be fair
It is what it is and there's nothing I need from either of them

Attachment Hunger

Hi everyone. I'm a 21-year-old teenager from China. I wanted to share something deeply personal, because I don’t know where else to talk about it. I’ve been struggling with an overwhelming sense of attachment hunger — the kind of need for someone to be consistently there, to talk to me, to see me, to care about me. It feels like I can’t survive without that connection, and it’s terrifying. It’s not just loneliness. Even if ...

My ex girlfriend with borderline keeps popping in and out

Hey guys, I could really use some help here as I don't really have anyone to talk to, and even if I did they wouldn't understand. 3 years ago I dated a girl who has BPD, I loved her more than anyone I've ever met, and those feelings never really died... I just learned to accept what can't be changed and move forward. Our breakup was really messy, she turned me into the villain and ...

The state of the mental health industry

To be more specific, one person's take on the way mental health professionals reach for the pill-box.

It's on YouTube, I'm not going to link directly to it, but if you search 'Laura Delano' and 'Tucker Carlson', you'll find an interview I listened to with great interest, while doing some tasks, the other day. It's a long interview, over two hours, but chronicles Laura's journey from being habitually medicated, to not being medicated. She was ...

It's useless

Based on years of experience, I regard therapy as no more useful or valid than pseudo science such as astrology or phrenology.

I need and want to vent, but I can't tell the truth about my violent feelings or I'd get locked up.
I don't want particularly to change myself, I want to change my tangible life circumstances and I want to be better at getting people to react the way I want them to. ...

Helping a Family Member Deal with OCD

I have an immediate family member (dependent) who suffers from OCD. They have had issues with anxiety and depression as well. Their OCD is based on germaphobia and it has become paralyzing at times, to them and to our family. We try to help them make it through, but our entire family is walking on egg shells throughout the day. We feel like we are being held hostage to their OCD and don't know what ...
