Anything You Think Can't or Won't Happen or Likely Won't

Anything you think can't or likely won't happen in a casino can and will happen, and I am not talking about the wins, I am talking about whatever system you think can't lose. I am talking about whatever pattern or betting style you think will not lose.

Today, I am choosing to face reality, and that reality is that any strategy I think can't or likely won't lose, I realize that I am wrong. After ...

Gambling is so Dangerous

I am making this post to emphasize to everyone how serious it is for us to always stay away from gambling. All it takes is one bet/relapse to reel us back in to lose everything we have worked for.

Here is a prime example. I had quit gambling for about a year now and managed to save some money. If you know me, you know I've spent most of my life in the lower income ...

Reading

Guys and Gals. Reading Everybody story has really helped me.
I have had different gambling addictions that I have stopped
And then found something else. In our state they legalized online sports betting
And in a covid year I got readdicted quick, sports gambling everyday. It took about 7 months
for a real bad streak to happen over a weekend and I lost probably 20k.
I ended up winning my last bet on that bad ...

Today is the first day of the rest of my life

Hello everyone..
I have been gambling (mostly soccer and football) since I started working, around 15 years or so and the whole thing has been a part (probably the biggest part) of my life.
It's very usual for me checking scores during important work meetings, spending my whole day in my office watching games and wagering and doing whatever possible to get away from my family during the weekends just so I can gamble freely. ...

First post on Gambling Addiction - till I quit thoroughly

I would never think that I would post something like this here.

43 yrs old, with a proper job in the education line and decent pay. I started visiting casinos in malaysia twice yearly. Occasionally, I would win but most of the time I lost. It never crosses my mind with that couple of thousands dollars per year which i treated myself sort of like a holiday looking and enjoying the slot bonus with thrilling ...

Quitting for Good

I thought that I would create a personal thread to post my thoughts or experiences in dealing with this lifetime sickness called "gambling addiction".

I'm in Day 3 of GF (gambling free).

I have been gambling since 18 years old. It has been more than 25 years of gambling. And what have I really achieve in life. Frankly, nothing to be proud of.

I can't go on doing the same things especially in terms of ...

Gambler's Ruin-a proven mathematical theory

Like many of us, I consider myself a very intelligent person. After all, I am a fairly well known lawyer who has handled some very complex cases. I would say that mathematics, and particularly statistics were by far my best subjects in College. I set out on the road to get an edge on the gambling houses and was consistently demolished. Of course, I had some big wins. The compulsion and desire to win more ...

YEAR OF HELL (2020) But I Have Not Gambled...

BAD NEWS:
a) Lost my partner. Natural causes, not COVID-19.
b) Lost my career. Very distraught, I did something very stupid (not criminal) and my professional license was revoked.
c) Lost my house. Our home held too many memories so I sold it and moved into my much smaller rental property.

GOOD NEWS:
a) U$2,000,000 bank account. Sold everything I owned (save new home) to boost savings.

2020 has been the worst year of my ...
