I can't stop

So many good ideas here. Yet it's like another person takes over.

How does anyone stop online gambling without eventually taking their own life?

Why would anyone make themselves feel the way I do right now?

I'm sorry. This is low - but until I get evicted shortly, I guess it's not technically bottom

How I quit online poker and blackjack

I have written a story about moving from one form of gambling to another, but here's my experience with how I quit online poker.

I was enrolled in a reputable university in VA (I'm an international student), and during my first year I did quite well, although I felt relatively isolated from everyone due to cultural differences. I first discovered online poker when I was 18 or 19, and I remember making $1500 from a ...

Depression

I know this is the Gambling Addiction Forum but gambling was how a dealt with my depression for years and years. I used to lose myself into a gambling binge and the pain would go away (only to come back much stronger after I lost).

The problem is now I'm depressed again and I don't know why. A couple facts about how my life is going right now:

- I've lost over 30 lbs and ...

Gambling has almost ruined my life

Hi,

Here's my story:

I first found out about online poker 8 years ago. I was an 18 year old college student with a limited budget and I was never satisfied with my payroll. I started off depositing $100 and saw it climb up to $1000 within a short period, only to lose it all within a few hours. This was the start off the long addiction to come.

I graduated from college with a ...

Help.

I think i might be addicted to gambling. Let me give you some context.

I'm 20 years old and I've been gambling since I was 18. Poker and Blackjack are my games, I'm quite good at poker, and usually do well, but my Blackjack addiction is out of control.

I maxed out my credit card to the tune of about £200 to buy onto FullTilt, before i even knew what was going on, I was ...

Why have i let it come to this....

I guess my gambling started a couple of years ago, mainly just doing one or two pound accumulators at weekends but nothing more. Then came the online gambling sensation, my friend gambles pretty much daily and leads me to believe at least they he makes 40 or 50 quid a night by following select tipsters on twitter, who bet on these 'next goal' markets. Since about september or october of 2014, i started upping the ...

Lost money from dad's credit card. What should I do?

Hi, I started gambling about a month ago. I'm 18 years old and saw it as a way to get some cash and ideally pay off part of my travelling debts (£1500) to my parents. I started with betting on football, but quickly moved onto roulette and blackjack. About a week ago, I was sitting on £300 profit and was delighted with how it was going. But it wasn't enough, I began to bet with ...

Poor Decision Making

This is my first post, I decided I had ought to write my story in hopes someone may learn from it and that I may gain some closure. I am 24 years old and have a college degree and 2 years income saved.
I've just returned from a trip to Vegas... I went there to celebrate leaving a job I was sick of and to blow off some steam. This included doing cocaine, having sex ...

Been a while since I've posted:Relapse, but not all bad news

It has been a while since I've been active on here. I had a relapse about a month ago, and just needed some time to get myself back on track.

For those that don't know my story, I am addicted to casino slots and lottery scratch off tickets. My low point was around this time 2 years ago. Massive credit card debt, multiple payday loans, every bill late. It was a horrible low point in ...

Can't accept my losing streak

Hi everyone! This is my second post here about my gambling addiction. First of all, I would like to thank everyone who replied or even took the time to read my predicament. The only problem I have is the fact that I still cant accept the fact of losing in streaks.
Recently I went to the casino with some friends. I brought only $40 thinking that it would not hurt if I lost that amount. ...
