need help to evaluate my relationship

Hi,

I have been for one year in a relationship and for some times wonder if my partner has NPD.
Why?

Heres why:
- often looks in the mirror (window behind me) when talking to me, seems to struggle to regulate this
- obsesseses with the beauty of her bum, she was shamed a lot as teenager
- sometimes makes remarks that are supposed to be funny where she jokes about something stupid that I ...

My bipolar girlfriend and my family?

I am looking for suggestions or strategies to discuss with my family so they are more accepting of her illness. The way things are currently they basically have stopped associating with us due to her unpredictable behavior especially if she has been drinking.
They act as if her behavior is just her being rude, obnoxious and disrespectful. They would rather not be around her.
Any suggestions?

Is he a Narcissist?

Beyond frustrated with my ex-husband who happens to be my current boyfriend. We have been trying to work things out after the dissolution of our marriage. He says things to me that are extremely rude and judging of my body. Today, in particular, we got into an argument about his lack of desire and attraction for me. From my perspective, he does not desire me nor is he attracted to me. Long story short, he ...

How to escape the HPD fan club

I have found myself in the intolerable fan club zone of an extremely seductive histrionic woman. The relationship is extremely one sided. Whenever she feels like it she will reach out to me out of the blue and be overly flirtatious. When I try to escalate to a real date she always flakes out. I'm tired of this and since I feel sexually attracted to her I've been contemplating whether I should openly tell her ...

HPD BREAK UP

Hello. I was almost 2 years in a relationship with my girlfriend diagnosed with HPD and generalized anxiety disorder. Same story full of pain and chaos that I have read in this forum. She tried to leave me several times. that I was a controller, that I wanted to change her, that she wanted to be free, etc. Almost never in person. I tried 2 couples therapies with her. In the last, even the psychologist ...

Does mum have NPD

Hi,
I'm a new member, 61, and only 4 months ago it has been suggested to me that my stepmom has NPD.
I've therefore started to read as much as I can on the subject but find the following discrepancies:
She's got lots of friends albeit the ones that get too close end up leaving her
She's very caring to animals
She's generally gregarious in public
She apologises to anyone
As far as the rest ...

Advice Needed On What To Do About Bipolar/Narc Parent

So I originally posted on here in August of 2014 trying to find answers for what sort of personality disorder my mom has. To give you all some context, this was the original post:

" I dealt with verbal abuse as a young kid/teen from my mom and could never really figure out what the issue might be. Here is a list of what I went through/now deal with:

Yelling/screamed at my sis/I at times ...

What does this sound like?

Family gathering recently.
My middle sister nearly talked my oldest sister to death on the first day. Machine gun talking the entire day. Unbearable.
Second day I went to the doctor and that day the middle sister was behaving.
Third day, my middle sister was at it again. Machine gun talking, snarky remarks, comments on anything and everything, last word kind of stuff. Forth day pretty much normal.
Fifth day at it again.

It is ...

why is she contacting me from fake number?

Hello, some background:

I'm an ex who was the dumpee. My ex and I had a somewhat healthy relationship that grew from friends into more. The more only lasted about 3 months as i think the more intimate we got the more fearful avoidant she became + more mind games. Due to the weird push/pull for 3 months (one of which she disappeared for 1 month and came back like nothing happened), I too then ...

Sibling and her hate campaign

I don't know where to start with this because it's so long and drawn out.

I have a sibling who I could write a book about and I don't know how to where to begin.

She's constantly in a fight mode against the family. She took ordinary family life and events and things and took offence and blew them out of proportion. For example - finding offence in emigration. Finding offence in having a baby. ...
