I found out my friend self harms... (trigger...?)

Never have I thought I would be registering to actually seek help in supporting a friend. I've been naive, I guess. I live in an Asian country, so sex and all that isn't really that the 'norm' in our teenage years, so I assumed that cutting isn't as well. That is, until today.

I'm not really that close with her, but at the same time, sort of. We eat together and have friendly chats and ...

Need advice on my depressed mother-in-law

I'm in a very sticky situation, and I'm really running out of options on what to do about this. Any help is appreciated.

So here's how things start. My fiance moved in with me over a year ago, and everything was great. We have a very healthy, close relationship.

A couple months ago, we allowed my fiance's mother to move in due to some circumstances (potentially put her life in danger). We didn't want to ...

How do I validate when H won't stop talking and....

....gets upset if even slightly interrupted?

Tonight H had a melt-down about an issue involving his relatives. Since they're not here to "receive" his anger, I became the target. After ranting about them (things to validate there), he then transitioned into ranting about me (no there there, but since I'm present.....).

Anyway, when H starts to rant, I try to insert some words of validation, but H yells at me to "shut up and stop ...

NPD Abuse by B in Law

Sorry this is so long. Didn't mean to write a book. I decided to post this, because I've looked online; and, most people who have dealt w/NPD abuse, dealt with it from a romantic relationship, marriage or parent. I dealt with it from my, now, Brother In Law.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this from someone who really shouldn't care enough to go out of their way to do something like that to you? ...

We have been long distance over a year. He is extremely jealous. His past 2 relationships resulted in the girls cheating on him. Unfortunately, I have lied to him before. I have an issue with lying to avoid confrontation. ...

Help me with letter I wrote her..FEEDBACK PLEASE (HPD)

Moved to Significant Others Forum, with shadow thread left in HPD. Reason - Post relates to member's own experiences with a person with HPD and not specifically about the disorder itself.

Ok folks....I wrote my old girlfriend this letter about 2 years ago and still I have not heard from her. I THOUGHT I was being gracious when I wrote it...but apparently not. As I explain in the why I deleted her in April of ...
