Does the WAY the discard happens matter?

So I recently re-watched the movie YOUNG ADULT, with Charlize Theron. If you haven't seen it, if is a very good movie that depicts of lot of NPD/P behavior. The main character is clearly an NPD/P. To be honest, I didn't realize the main character's issue when I first saw it, but I knew something was wrong with her. I suspect most who see this don't quite grasp it if they haven't dealt with an ...

Is there any way to "reach" a BPD person about budgeting?

My BPD H is awful with money. He'll tell me that he's going to give me $XXXX when he gets his next paycheck, and then that comes and he can't. It's because he spends money on himself first.

My income pays for our rental properties, his income is supposed to support us. But, he blows too much money and then runs out before he can "share" with me.

Today he gave me a check for ...

Friend misinterprets what I say; lashes out (Bipolar, BPD?)

Moved to SOFF by MOD as it's in reference to someone's possible disorder

Hey. I am feeling lost and quite overwhelmed. I know you can't diagnose online, but I want to be able to understand my friend. I thought she might be Bipolar, but I am starting to think she could have BPD.

I was dating this girl 5 months ago (same sex) and we hit it off instantly. But I noticed she started to ...

Pathological Space? Anyone know?

I find this idea fascinating. I first saw this on youtube under Sam Vaknin, who explaine Pathologhical spaces for the NPD/P in almost identical terms of finding narcissistic supply. Does anyone have any experienced with this? Do NPD/P abandon their old haunts(bars, churches, restaurants, etc) in the same way they abandon people? It was described as once an NPD/P has conquered everyone within the space or gets bored of it, they leave and don't go ...

3yo screaming during exchange (HPD ex)

The exchange last night was horrible. My 3yo daughter knew "mommy" (exPwHPD) was coming to pick her up and refused to put her coat on. I picked her up and she latched her little arms around my neck and wouldn't let go, and began to scream. I carried her out to exPwHPD's car and sat her in her carseat. She still did not want to let go, crying out "No!" with tears running down her ...

She lashed out at me again and now seems sorry. Bipolar?

Hey. I was dating this girl 5 months ago (same sex) and we hit it off instantly. But I noticed she started to be moody and would change from being super sad to extremely hyper. She also seemed very sensitive and misinterpreted things I'd say or my actions. She then revealed to me that she has "mental issues" and is very hurt from a recent break up. She also told me she used to be ...
