Dealing with possible BPD Friend

Hi Everyone,
This is my first post. I need some advice on how to deal with my opposite-sex (female) friend. I’ve been reading a lot on this and other forums and I strongly suspect she may suffer from BPD. I’m not asking for a diagnosis, but I hope to gain some understanding of what drives her behavior. This, in turn, might make it easier to deal with her.

Here are some of the things she ...

I think my best friend has BPD?

I believe my best friend has Borderline Personality Disorder. I believe she keeps getting misdiagnosed and she's not getting the kind of help she needs. Is there anything I can do about this? I can answer any questions you may have.

Please help? Thank you.

Mixed feelings while No contact

I have had very mixed emotions this weekend. My undiagnosed BPD sis had major surgery and, of course, not going to the hospital and sitting with the rest of the family has torn me apart. I feel glad to not have been in the mix of the dysfunction of all my family members, but at the same time, sad that it didn't really matter to my sister if I was there or not. when I ...

Simply a Mess! Advice?

I saw the site rules that do not allow anyone to diagnose other members and hopefully a mod can weigh in if others that may know are allowed in on what they suspect someone else may have that is not a member?

My end goal in this is to talk with others that are going through similar issues but I think it is important to see exactly what disorder my two ex's have to see ...

Someone please explain my wifes fascination with abusive ex?

hi, Idk if this is the right forums to bring up or mods if you could forward this to the right forum/thread I would appreciate it. I'm just trying to get a proper response & trying to understand this hold my wife's ex has over her. I knew of her past, I knew to the extent which it went, I know step daughter is his and I'm fine with that. I'm not fine with how ...

Having a baby with HPD ex-gf

I'm just learning about HPD. My ex-girlfriend has HPD, which I didn't realize or even know what it was when our relationship ended. We had a fairly turbulent relationship at first. We'd break up and get back together and everything seemed fresh and new again. And around August of last year she got pregant. At that point, she moved in with me and my 2 kids from my previous marriage. We told the kids they ...

Please help, girlfriend's ED...

My girlfriend of 2 years has relapsed into her anorexia. I'm a man with no experience in the disorder so I don't quite understand it, but I love her dearly and want her to be happy and healthy. I tell her every day that I love her and think she's the most beautiful woman in the world but apparently it isn't enough. It makes me so angry that she can't just ######6 eat because it ...

What are the best words to use when telling BPDH.....

H over-reacts when he thinks I'm putting someone/something before him. I have a small business that sometimes has to "have my attention" and that makes H upset. He'll say things like, "I need to come first." I've tried to tell him that I don't tell him that he needs to ignore his job when I interrupt his work. When he's busy at work and I call, he'll tell me that he has to call me ...
