Girl I was seeing with BPD broke it off but for no reason..

I'll try to make a long story short but the last 3 months since I met this girl has been an absolute rollercoaster for me.

So we met over Christmas and slowly we got talking through snapchat and then I got her number. We went out twice and everything was fine though the next friday we were meant to head out for dinner only for me to ring her that day for her to say ...

Possible HPD / MS and being a carer?

I have a relative who has consistently displayed attention seeking behavior, (some of it quite extreme), over decades. Lots of this is achieved through a seemingly endless list of health complaints, many of which are self-diagnosed and self-treated but has also included a lot of operations and treatments from doctors too. Often it appears that doctors "give in" after constant badgering and sometimes even legal threats and if they really dig their heels in and ...

Do they forget about our future plans?

Hi, I am new to this forum. I am dating someone who has BPD. He frequently goes through periods where he gets angry at me over the stupidest thing and then refuses to speak to me for weeks/months. We had planned to get married in the next year and start a family together, but now I am seriously reconsidering given his behavior, unless he agrees to seek help.

My question is: When people go through ...

My ex doesn't realize she is BPD

I truly want to help her but she resists all types of therapy. I think it would be the key to her recovery if she could deal with it. Should I approach it with her. She doesn't know. We thought she was Schizo and has been treated for Bipolar in the past. She has all the signs of BPD including some serious delusions. Only after our breakup could I recognize what was going on. I ...

Are these histrionic traits

A girl Ive been seeing for the last year seems like she may be histrionic. Maybe someone can help with this situation, because Im wondering if this is something a histrionic would do.

We met in person a year ago and for 5 months we became very close from long distance. We hung out in person a few times, but talked every day. She ended up breaking it off, and started dating some guy locally. ...

Paranoid schizophrenic father refuses to see psychiatrist

Hi everyone,

Around last November, I found out exactly that my father has paranoid schizophrenia. He's had it for quite some time, maybe for about ten years now, but it was sort of hidden from me and I didn't really notice it. It isn't severe enough that he is suicidal or has hallucinations, from what I have been able to observe. He has been taking Abilify all this time. Around the summer of last year, ...

Narcissistic injury that ends things?

Ok. So I have been dealing with my ex NPD for awhile. I realized her issues, I moved on, I stayed NC for over three months. Tried to return and set new boundaries after discovering myself and changing my codependent ways. This worked well for a bit, but of course she got just as crazy or worse in her paranoia and constant wanting attention. So I admitted to myself that I cannot manage her even ...

My daughter

I'll call her "Mary." Mary came to us around her 17th birthday via the foster care system. During her first year with us, we had a couple of episodes where we KNEW she faked asthma attacks. Once I was driving her to the hospital, she seemed to be getting worse by the second, so I stopped at the local fire house/EMT place and had them come out to look at her. The attendants told me ...

Help for my daughter

Hello, I have been reading posts for past two days. Not very adept at this stuff, have never done a post. Don't even know if I will be able to find the responses should someone respond.
My awesome, intelligent, talented 19year old daughter is maybe schizoid. It sounds to me like many of you out there are quite content, and I can appreciate that. So I do not wish to offend anyone with my questions. ...
