Narcissistic Grandfather

Please help me to do what was right. My husband and I have two beautiful children, a daughter 15, and a son 12, and a good marriage. My FIL fits the mold of someone with malignant NPD. We have to love him from afar. He has had 4 failed marriages and countless girlfriends. Currently he has a girlfriend that he wants us to meet. He doesn't speak to his brother, his sister, his other son, ...

Just some beautiful revelations :)

I was going to post this in the BPD forum but since I am a non, I wasn't sure if it would be appropriate...Anyways, to all those going through or that went through pain in a BPD relationship, I have this to say...My ex-girlfriend suffers from Borderline personality disorder I believe and I had trouble coping with the reality that I may not have ever been truly taken serious by her or even remotely truly ...

advice about my boyfriend who has BPD

Hi all

I have been with my partner for three years and four months ago he asked me to marry him. I love him dearly and have been very understanding of his problems. I believe he is a good person but I do get exhausted by some of his issues regarding guilt and shame. He has a mild form of the disorder, according to his therapist, no drug or drink problems, he is not irresponsible ...

Am I dealing with someone with NPD? How do I deal with it

G'day, I have a best mate that I've only just realised might have narcissism, or NPD for that matter.

I looked up the disorder online and the traits seem very similar. He does a lot of the following,
- Talks himself up A LOT, such as ''I'm so good looking'', ''all the girls look at me'', ''I have a big d*ck'', ''everyone loves me'', ''I'm perfect'', ''I'm the best in the world, ''If I died, ...

Left a BDP Man and I am confused by his response

Quick question. Had a quick relationship with a BDP male who lives in my building. Left him after fives interactions (very aggressive, very sweet one moment and abusive scary the next, and really only wanted sex). He did not contact me nor did I contact him for two weeks after this. Saw him in the parking lot and he had a tantrum when he saw me (this is when I realized something was really wrong). ...

Has this happened to you? (Bulimia)

Hi all--
I have a friend who has struggled with weight issues for years. It's sickeningly apparent, and all I know to do is be there for her and support her. For years, my best friend and I have been by her side, and try to help however we can. But lately, it's been scary.

Last semester she ended up in the hospital. She couldn't stop vomiting for a week straight. She had tests run ...

My schizophrenic brother

Hello all,
I am new to this forum and hope someone could give me valuable advice for coping up with my situation.
My brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia when he was 26.He had to quit his job and stay home due to some violent episodes in the beginning. During his stay at home, he formed a bond with my mother and started hating my father for no reason. He believed it was all his fault ...

My dad ASPD, motives?

Hiya, I hope you don't mind me on your forum, just looking for some answers about my dad.

He was diagnosed with ASPD ten years ago when we stopped living with him, he's been awful to us but as he's older (nearly 70) I don't have it in me to stop contact with him.

He's never really taken an interest in me, and everything he's ever done has been for his own personal gain, my ...

What kind of traits is my ex showing?

Hi, I am having trouble understanding my ex...She is clinically diagnosed with both Bi-polar and OCD but doing research, it just doesn't seem to fit her, or at least not the problems me and her had. I thought she had Borderline Disorder but very recently, after reading into it, I'm having second thoughts about that too. I am by no means a psychologist, and I know it doesn't seem right to try and diagnose her, ...

BPD Girlfriend, problems. What do I do?

Right, lately my BPD girlfriend has been driving me insane, and I'm seemingly unable to do anything about it. About a week ago she got depressed and refused to speak to me about why she was depressed. This ends up keeping her up at night thinking about things. I still don't know why she got depressed.

On Monday she started snapchatting this American guy (we are from the UK) until 5am. She said she actually ...
