Unhealthy family living situation

Sigh...so I guess I gotta backtrack a little.

Back in January I quit my government job. I was not happy whatsoever in it, my boss was an ass and would not give me the opportunity to move up, and I felt unsafe at work as there was a previous stalker situation and my boss/manager would not move me. No pros to the job, one of the best decisions I ever made was to quit. I ...

Mother and Sister Won't Leave Me Alone

From the very moment I was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, my family wouldn't leave me alone. Even now, more than twenty years later, they treat me like an adult with the mind of a child. They interfere and meddle in every aspect of my life. They refuse to stop in spite of all my demands that they stop. And despite what they inside, what they are doing is not in my best interests.

The whole ...

May my bf have BPD?

Hi, I know its impossible to make a diagnosis without a competent specialist, but I need some advice about mental health of my bf of 5 years (32 yrs old).

Here are the symptoms:

1.Fear of abandonment. People with BPD are often terrified of being abandoned or left alone.
I can not say hes afraid to be alone, but he definitely does not like to stay without me. When I leave home for more than ...

I am starting to hate my bestfriend

I am starting to hate my bestfriend. I will probably never be destined to have an ideal friendship and I do acknowledge that I may be wrong and I may have flaws but bear with me as I do need a place to just express myself.

I met this girl two years ago. We met and bonded instantly especially since we both left terrible friendships. She was very similar to my personality traits and I ...

The RED line.

Hello all. I am a married father of three teenage daughters. I am also in my 40's. Studied narcissism for years on my free time and discovered some shocking similarities in my upbringing and throughout my life. My parents both have shown awkward red flags in my troubled life. This made me also look into compulsions and habits associated. Here is a story that brought my blood pressure to medical attention.

I have been concerned ...

Problematic Mom

Some info about my mom:

About 60 years old, she is very smart and socially acts/behaves mostly cheerfully and looks happy, making it easy to befriend her and even think of her as a fun person. She is mentally very active, but paranoid. She divorced from my Dad, a very good and logical man, years ago because she was certain (with no evidence) that he was cheating on her. She is often worried about getting ...

BPD Ex-housemate

3 years ago I registered in this forum to get an insight on how to deal with my HPD housemate. He moved out shortly after, which was a relieve. My BPD and ADHD housemate went that fall back to university and was quickly overwhelmed.
Just a bit of background: I had bought an old farmhouse and moved in with two housemates who shared the same hobby: ferrets. Both of them didn’t work at the time, ...

HELP! GF With Sudden Anger, Aggression & Delusions?

I have been dating someone for the past 6 months, but have known her for a few years now. I have always known her to have a very upbeat attitude, positive outlook, and stable personality. Additionally, she is someone who is extremely caring and empathetic, puts others first and believes in open, constant communication. She is not someone that angers easily and seems to hold no grudges towards others, regardless of the circumstances. We have ...

Do I need to become a telepath?

I had a long chat with my closest female friend the other night.
And we disagree on A LOT of things. The relationship wouldn't be interesting if we alays agreed.
But suddenly, she cut off the conversation mid sentence.
Then she sent me an angry text: 'I was about to tell you something really personal, but you cut me off, so now I'm downgrading your access to my personal life'
The thing is... I have ...

How did something so minor enrage him so much??

I don’t even know if my husband is narcissistic or ADHD or what. All I know is one simple little thing last night turned into him being pissed! Everything was fine. He came into the living room and we watched tv. He put on this one show that we had never seen before. About 15 minutes into it, it seemed like this wasn’t the first episode as there was a lot of backstory we didn’t ...
