I regard myself as an above average person when it comes to reading and writing however, I always have problems differentiating left from right. Its not easy for me to give directions especially when I have to refer to left and right I have to really figure out which side is left/ right. Could I be dyslexic?

My whole life i have had issues with sentence comprehension, i can read words properly and spell them properly but when reading a sentence as a whole, the individual words combined sound like jibberish to me for several reads through, usually i have to reread every few sentences 8-9 times. Is this a type of dyslexia, or some other disorder?

I don't understand how to do a currency conversion, is there a little trick that I can do so I can quickly do a on the spot conversion.

I have a 10 year old diagnosed with dyslexia. I meet a lot of parents who suspect their child is dyslexic, and are wondering if there are particular tests that should be used to diagnose dyslexia. Often the school psychologists seem to have limited tests to use vs. a private psychologist.

Does anyone have a list of tests that are appropriate for diagnosing dyslexia?
