Does anyone else have parts but only one name?

My therapist told me last week that I have DID. I knew I was dissociative, probably had Dissociative Disorder NOS, along with Major Depression and PTSD, but I did not think I had the qualifications for a DID diagnosis. I have had different parts of me come out pretty much just over the last 5-6 years (most all "littles", with an adolescent part as well), but I only go by one name regardless of what ...

She said that she views integration as murder. I dont have much knowledge about this since it was a recent diagnoses. What do you guys think ? Would it be better for me to work on integration or go wiht what the therapist ...

Scared :(

Don't know what's going on inside with us anymore. feeling scared, partly from our dreams and nightmares and fears, and partly because after 3 years, my therapist has finally understood what the word "practical" mean.

We'll be going to this 'life skills center' for practical help in the morning, but am scared, scared of what they know/don't know, scared of their attitudes, how I'll be treated, exactly whats involved and is it actually going to ...

problems with medication

I was diagnosed approximately 10 years ago with DID. At the time I was going through a mental break down. The psychiatrist gave me the option of taking Risperdal or being committed and forced to take it. The medication silenced everyone.

I have just re-established contact My alters were afraid to re-emrge or I would try to hurt them again.

I saw a therapists last week who insisted that I see a psychiatrist and be ...

Could Childhood DID Go Away in Adulthood?

Is it possible to have DID when you are a child, but then as you grow up, most symtoms seem to go away. The few possible symptoms that are left is a few missing childhood years, migranes, occasional floating feelings (looking in the mirror and not recognizing yourself), weird "memories", and a feeling of not feeling like you are in your body? The black-out periods no longer happen and you wonder if the conversations in ...

Here is a little information about me: My name is Rich, I'm 25 y/o I live in Far Northern California. Married almost 7 years and I'm not sure exactly how many ...

Communication

I've notticed that a lot of people seem to be able to communicate with their "Alters" and was wondering how it is done, as no matter how hard I try communicating, it just doesn't seem to work :( . So I guess my question is how do you communicate with your "Alters"?
