News of Dissociative Identity Disorder Forum

One of my alters are afriad of getting in the car and hesitates but once she is in she is okay she also has a fear of getting out again which causes my body to freeze up and take its time to move. I have tried to ask her why she is afraid but have not had any success in recieiving an answer.

Any ideas on what may be going on here?

I'm asking because I know this guy who will randomly just start making dog noises, barking growling and walking on all fours. This lasts for about 5 minutes and then he will go back to "normal".

My T suggested that I begin to see what it would be like not to switch. The trauma that made me switch to cope is no longer a part of my life. He's not pushing for integration at this point, just for me to pay attention to what is going on when I switch or feel the urge to switch. I'm OK with this.
