I had my first appointment with a new psychiatrist the other day and was rather surprised by what he had to say.

He asked about how my husband was with my "others" and I told him that Joe did great! My hubby can recognize each one without asking who it is and treats each one as they prefer to be treated. If it's a little, he plays with them, if it's a teen he ...

I was just diagnosed with DID a couple months ago after being diagnosed with everything in the book. They have me take that MMPI test, which is totally confusing when the others have different opinions and emotions than I do. They came up with a different diagnosis every time. My doctor keeps trying me on all of these different antipsychotics; I hate them. Have any of you tried medications? what has worked? what has'nt worked? ...

i have someone else in my head that i talk to his real name is kaizo hence my name on this but i used to think he was my mind and that like everyone has but sometimes he can come out and control my body he can do what he wants no one really seems to notice but its as if im still there but im him.

Sometimes I think I will bever be happy because of this, but then there are times, like today, where I am very happy. My sisters came over this weekend to help me move and ended up meeting some alters, little little ones mostly, and they talked with them and played with them...

I can tell DID is not a subject people get into alot. That makes me sad. I was hoping that I would meet more people diagnosed with it because me and the others are the only one I know. I feel so alone like no one undeerstands. I just want to know what it is like for other people. I feel so alone. I just need to talk to someone that really understands ...

I'm re-starting this journey. Had 9 years of hard time in therapy... abreactive. This summer my daughter, 16, was in an auto accident, and became paralyzed (permanent) below T12. My husband and I (20 years married rock solid) spent 3 months in the hospital with her. I had been unable to walk due to my back being broken by a drunk driver 9 years before; and was post surgery 11 months when it happened. ...
