How to identify if somebody has DPD?

I have borderline personality disorder. I want to date somebody that is utterly obsessively in love with me, like people who have dependent personality disorder. I value the qualities that DPD people have where others do not. How do I find people who have it? And then get them to need me?

Don't post to tell me I'm crazy for wanting that, or that it's wrong of me to want to those qualities in a ...

Really paranoid....

Hi,

I sometimes wonder if I got dpd...I feel helpless, like I can not do anything myself, I have low self esteem and do not trust myself..I always ask for help even if its with things I should be able to do alone, like my study.

Anyway. Theres nothing wrong with my parents other than the fact that they are extremely overprotective, especially my mother. The fact that I'm an only child and I was ...

I was wondering if anyone with this disorder has tried EMDR with this. I have done EMDR for other things but not this. So was just wondering and what was your outcome.

Need to talk about DPD, any advice would be appreciated

When I was a child I dealt with alot of things a child should not have to deal with. I won't go into specifics but basically, from a young age I was exposed to drug addiction, alcoholism, my parents constantly fighting (they separated eventually) as well as almost being made homeless, and my mother suffering from severe depression. Often when there was a big problem I would see how helpless she was and this would ...

Dependent Personality Disorder

Do you think it's typical of someone with DPD to just say they "agree" with a breakup (since they don't like to disagree)?

But on the sidelines, they are also changing themselves according to your needs, and using emotional blackmail to make YOU want to stay (manipulative)?

I broke up with her, and she said she just wanted me to be happy, so she agreed with it. Or rather, didn't argue it at all. However, ...

Dependent Personality Mother with Dementia!!

Does anyone out there have any experience with an elderly mother with dementia? She's always been reliant on others for everything, especially since my father died. Now she has dementia and is constantly calling us from her rest home (the aides dial the phone at her request). She can't remember talking to us so she calls us over and over. Her neediness is so exhausting and we're at a loss as to what to do ...

I think I might have DPD...

I was bullied for a LONG time... and that made my life a living hell... I'm only 15, nearly 16 years old in a couple of months, and I have been verbally abused... I didn't have any friends, and I was depressed... I made new friends last year during my freshman year... one in particular. I have gotten REALLY attached to her, and I don't know how she puts up with me...

Also, a year ...

What would help us

Well, I thought over it again and there is a single thing that would help us: a partner!
If there would be one who cares about us, we won't feel bad. And that would help us during therapy.
Why had nobody thought about that? Is drugs psychatry and therapy everything they can think about? Maybe they don't even mind about different disorders, they're just healing symptoms, but not the people behind them! ...
