Seeking help with dpd

Hi I'm an 18 year old guy..

I haven't been diagnosed by a psychiatrist or anything but I would say I'm 100% confident that I have dpd. The effects really hit me hard when it comes to woman I grow attached too. I'm extremely submissive and have an overwhelming fear of losing them and being taken advantage of. Recently I hit a sipped bump we'll say. Two nights ago I was talking to a girlrather ...

Is this a DPD?

Hi all,

For a long time I'm thinking about this problem and I don't know if I can classified it as DPD.
Namely, I'm almost in my 30's and I have this enormous fear that if I loose my father I don't know how I would handle that.
Just last night I have a dream in which I was facing a moment like this and I was in great fear, and I just wanted to ...

How to deal with DPD Husband

I just found out that my husband has DPD. It's so bad that we're selling our house because he is barely able to do anything without my help, and the responsibility of being a homeowner and caring for my husband (and our baby) is just way too much for me to bear. Anyway, I really have no idea how to begin to cope with this. I am seeing a therapist, and she's helping me to ...

Hello. I am a 27 year old mother to a 15 month old son.

I have been unofficially diagnosed with DPD. It is something I have been doing research on for years, and I have been SURE I have it for years as well.

I WANT help. I have tried, but it is difficult to get help. I know I NEED to do it for the sake of my son, and if there is ANY ...

Could this be DPD?

Hi everyone. I wanted to share a little of my story and see if I could possibly have DPD. I thought possibly BPD as well, but I'm not really self-harming, and I try my best not to manipulate people.

I always feel the need to be in a relationship. Always.

I'm hurt very easily if it's from the person who I currently have a romatic interest in. If not, I generally couldn't care less.

I ...

Help with DPD diagnosis

Hi everyone I'm new here. Firstly i want to say this is the first time I've registered on a forum for help. To cut the story short - I've been seeing a psychologist for just over a year and it doesn't seem to be helping me long term as I've become dependent on my therapist. She did a thorough test with me which scored high for Avoidant Dependent Personality Disorder. I was sent to a ...

Help with DPD famiy member

I am new to the forum. Really looking for some help right now with a son who may have DPD.
I have read some of the forum posts and there are some very good responses to some of the
questions. I myself am not a very interactive person unless someone has problems.
I have deep empathy for people almost to the point of actually feeling what they
feel. If it was not for that and ...

I posted incorrectly

I am not familiar with forums and should have checked into how to do this to begin
with. I asked a question about DPD. Someone was kind enough to point me in a
direction that was very helpful. A few days later after researching, I replied to that
person stating the problem.
I should have started as a new topic. There were a number of reiews, but I did not
post the problem until later. ...

What are the DPD symptoms?

I have an avoidant personality and hang out on that board. But I recently heard about DPD. What are the symptoms?

It sounds like you actually have to be in close enough contact with people to depend on them to do things for you? is that correct?

Well, I'm not in close contact with anybody. I DO suffer from learned helplessness-----where I just can't seem to think I can do things and don't try unless ...
