I've been reading through the posts here, and I noticed that just about everyone with a spouse with delusional disorder is divorced, or going through a divorce.

Is this because of the disorder? Does it have that high of a divorce rate?

I asked my husband, and he swore he would never leave me no matter what (Suuure...) but he did say "You don't understand how frustrating it was..."

Sooo, if your spouse (or yourself) ...

At the end of my rope...

I just discovered this discussion forum and think it is so great....reading through all of the postings makes it clear that more people suffer from delusional disorder than I ever would have guessed.

This is my first posting, and I write it with sadness and frustration. So many stories are along the same lines, but I just need to vent to someone outside of my family! My 55 year old mother began having delusions about ...

how to get help for dd brother

Pretty sure my brother has DD. There's no way in hell to get him to go to a doctor...he trusts no one and it seems to be getting worse. How do you convince some who has this disorder that they need help??? I was thinking of telling him that I know someone who had the same problems as him. People following him, bugging his car, trying to poison him..etc. and he went to the doctor ...

My husband thinks I cheat on him with everyone

I have been married for 4 years now to a wonderful man, but through these four years, he has accused me of cheating on him over one hundred times. He in not comfortable leaving me alone or having me go somewhere alone. Every time, without fail he assumes ...

Just in need of support

Hi everyone,

I just need to vent a little. I posted on this sight back in July and it was very helpful knowing there are others that understand.

My husband and I have been married 14 years. We tried for years to have children and couldn't. When the infertility first was diagnosed my husband accussed me of cheating with a friend of his. (Male infertility) He said he watched me through a door keyhole along ...

I have been recently asked to moderate this forum on Delusional Disorder.
I am not a doctor, but I believe I have some first hand experience.

What is Delusional Disorder?
This illness is a psychosis characterized by non-bizzare delusions which last at least one month. The intensity of such perceptions may wax or wane over time. The person suffering from delusions is often functional in all other aspects of their life. Statistically this illness ...
