"cured"? delusionals

Any delusionals out there who have rid themselves of DD through either meds or therapy or both? I see a lot of chat here from significant others' of delusionals...... how about some support for us delusionals ourselves from delusionals or whomever can be supportive of those of us who have this insidious disorder? I totally understand and sympathize with the pain that anyone who has a significant other or relative who has DD has. Unfortunately, ...

New here, need some input...

I have been lurking and reading for a while and this forum has been tremendous help so far.

I am married to someone exhibiting DD persecutory type sympoms (with some elements of grandiose and jelaousy types, but I think that's pretty run-of-the-mill). He is not officially diagnosed because (as you all may suspect) he refuses to acknowledge that he needs any sort of diagnosis or help. Everything would be fine, only if he could find ...

Risperdal - advice

It appears that my wife might actually end up finally taking medication for her smell and 'dry heat' delusions. I'll see in the next few days. Anyway, other than what I see on the internet (with over a million hits), I have no experience with this drug or, actually, any other psychotic type drug. I am wondering if anyone would be able to briefly offer their experience(s) with risperdal and/or advice. It will probably be ...

How can he get help?

My brother has delusion. On Friday my mom had to call 911 because he said he had to...he didn't want to...he had to kill my mom, me and himself. Natually she was scared and called 911. They took him to the hospital, who then transfered him to the local mental health hospital. This is the second time we have been through this cycle. So, he decided that he isn't willing to take any meds. My ...

usual medicine for delusional disorder-jealousy

Hi, im researching on the usual medicine on delusional disorder-jealousy so I could at least have an idea on their possible side-effects and just how much sacrifice I need to live with a person who should be under medication for life. My husband might be suffering from the said disorder and I need to know if I can still live with him considering that his disorder results in physical abuses.

tnx

Not sure what mom has....

So, I have no idea what this could be, but my mother has been under this delusion for years now that she is going to have a "Deal" come through, and be "set". Every time I call her, the "contract" is going to be signed tomorrow, and she is set to move on thursday. She has promised to send me money, as I was unemployed, but never did and never brought it up again. This ...

Is DD-Jealousy contagious?

My husband always suspect that I am having illicit affairs. He needs to know every details when I am out with friends. If I went out with friends and went home earlier than him, he'd touch the car to check if its still hot so he could have an "idea" if I had just gotten home. If i ask him what time, he's coming home from a trip, he'd think that I was just checking ...

Does Delusional Jealousy always result to physical abuse?

We went to a psychiatrist purposely to save the marriage because of my husband's violent episodes when angry. when the psych had a conversation with me, she learned that most of his violent episodes are brought by unreasonable and baseless jealousy and suspicions of unfaithfulness. she told me then that she thinks my husband is suffering from delusional jealousy. that was the first time i heard such kind of disorder. it sort of explains his ...
