Somatic type delusional disorder

first off i would like to say that i am well aware that if i would have such a condition i would need to disbelieve that i have it. but i am like 99% sure i don't have it. the problem is i was diagnosed with it in an unscientific way. i have considered the possibility that i do indeed have such a thing but there is no evidence to support it other than i ...

My DD's been served

Well, it's done. My jealous DD husband will be served tonight with a Protection From Abuse Order.

Today was the last straw for me. I had to call the sheriff to get my DD to leave my house after he told me he wanted to punch my head in and break my legs. He picked up an old shower curtain rod, held it like a bat, and said he should hit me with it. He ...

Social Security Benefits

Hello again everyone. I posted here several years ago as mic and as a diagnosed DD spouse. I have been diagnosed for 6 years now and I have been on meds for about 3 years and off meds for about 3. I have had two episodes - one when I was diagnosed and a second three years later when I went off meds after fearing I would get pancreatitis again. (I read there was a ...

Don't bother with a polygraph

Hi, this is my first post. I was thrilled to find out there is a name for what my husband is going through. It started 2 years ago with him saying that I left for work one evening one hour earlier than I said I did, which I did not. He kept adding "proof" such as he looked at the time on the computer, then got up and looked at the clock in the kitchen. ...

I want to help my father

For as long as I can remember my father has had a belief that airplanes that are flying by are following him. That people in the "media" are watching him. He has even said that people on the TV are talking to him. He's been involved with televangelists, and psychics that took advantage of him for money. This behavior seemed to stop for a while ,but has started again. He has been wearing a string ...

I think my marriage is over

I think my marriage is over. This past weekend I got a phone call from my DDJ husband saying he didn't feel good, was having chest pains, could I take him to the hospital. I took him to the ER & found out once we got there that he had a different reason for being there. He told the ER nurse he didn't have chest pains. That "a buddy" had told my husband that if ...

I feel like a prisoner

Among other things, my moderate DD has gotten into the habit of taking pot shots at my job, which is really irritating to me. It seems like a deliberate attempt to cause trouble- assuming DDs can actually BE deliberate. She makes up stories about what "they" have told her at my work, rude things "they" have done to her and critiques their business with her "vast knowledge" of how the world really works. Recently she ...
