News of Delusional Disorder Forum

Just noticed Abilify commercials on cable tv. My wife noticed first when the words Bipolar Disorder appeared. I usually put the tv on mute during commercials, but she wanted to hear it.

No big deal. I just never saw anti-psych's advertised before on tv. There must be a new public awareness campaign by the pharma business. I guess that's a good thing.

I was fortunate enough to have found this forum today, as I believe I need to finally treat whatever mental disorder it is that I have. From what I have researched, I believe I have somatic delusional disorder.

On this forum the it seems necessary to exclude those afflicted from the conversation, but it shouldn't be. Relational aggression is a kind of bullying. It's just a harmful to the perpetrators, as it is to those being excluded, judged, oppressed or whatever.

As i continue to read some of the great threads here, there seems to be a theme among the contributors: years of problems, multiple admissions to facilities, etc.

Are there any stories out there of recovery? someone that developed DD and took meds for a period of time and did not have the symptoms again? Perhaps they are not posting because they have not been forced into seeking refuge and compassion after years of struggles? ...
