My Story

WARNING-Could Trigger Sorry this is pretty long but my story about my bullying experience- I just have to tell someone
I've posted other things here in the forums but this has really been a tough year for me. I was accepted into a grad program and only completed what was required to move from the master's level to the doctoral level. I made friends with this guy in my program and a handful of people ...

Do any other adults suffer from bullying at work?

At work every day I get bullied, because I am gay. I am an adult I am out of school and I go to work every day. Everyone at work is unaware that I am bipolar so they don't know how much their teasing upsets me. I even get teased by patients since I work in a long term living house. Do any other adults suffer from teasing? What should I do about it?

What and who should have helped you?

Hi all,

I am just curious as a student working towards raising awareness about bullying and would like to know what your thoughts are on the following:

What do you believe would have helped you through your bullying experience?

Who did you feel should have taken responsibility in preventing or putting an end to the bullying?

I am not looking for naming and shaming but rather where you place the responsibility such as with the ...

Bullying through sabotage

When I was younger I experienced a different kind of bullying.. the usual physical stuff, having gum put in my hair, getting shoved around and beaten up, or being yelled at by someone at the top of their lungs while they threaten to beat the hell out of you.

I'm older now, and am facing a somewhat new (to me) form of bullying.

The best way to describe it is like how someone befriends you, ...

Still hurts

Hi! This is my first post here. I'm trying to see if I can find some comfort in the fact that you guys know what going through what I've been though feels like, as I have no one who understands.

Long story short, I was bullied for ten years. Not one teacher did anything to stop it and neither did my parents. And I think that is what has haunted me and hurt the most ...

Being bullied by someone who seemed very nice

Firstly, I'd like to say that I'm very sorry if this post sounds over-sensitive. I know that there are so many others out there who are dealing with worse forms of bullying. But I was wondering if anyone else has been bullied or ignored by someone who everyone thinks is a really nice person? And if so, how do you deal with this?

I used to be friends with this girl who I thought was ...

Perhaps the compassionate will inherit the earth one day

So many of us would have been victims due to the massive homicide and general violence rate in the past. It is plausible this pacification process will now begin to extend to emotional violence, and the other animals will finally start to truly evolve.

Just a little bit of my hope there..

Is this a form of bullying?

Would you leave your crush alone if he or she rejected you?

Especially after he or she turns you down more than three times.

Regardless of whether you really like that person or not. If they're firm with you every time, would you back off?

I have come across a really passive agressive guy who got mad at me when I finally said: "I can't take this anymore, I've politely said no and explained myself ...
