BPD Lows

Hi,

Do many of you on here suffer from lows with BPD? To the point where you quit your job, and just stay inside or do very little for days at a time? Even with proper medication? This seems to be a circle affect that happens to me every few months. But I always need to QUIT EVERYTHING when this happens.

Restricting calories as a form of self-destructive behavior?

Good evening and thanks in advance to those out there who might take some time of theirs to read this post.
I'm wondering if anyone else on here is doing or has done this too? It's about self-destructive behavior caused by BPD. For me, it varies which "method" of self-harm/self-destructive behavior I turn to in order to try and soothe the inner chaos and emptiness and pain etc.. But a method I keep returning to ...

Relationships HELP

Hi

It has been an ongoing struggle for me for as long as i can remember, I meet a potential partner and I am absoloutely blown away with how attractive, amazing and really perfectly matched for me someone is, I imagine us spending our lives together, living together, I come on really strong and then for the first few months it's literally a dream, it's amazing.

Then usually I end up started fights, lashing out, ...

I think I need to apologise for writing my life story before you actually start reading this post. I have come to terms that I actually can't speak to anyone other than you guys on this forum besides possibly a therapist (which I am still hesitant to go to). But there you, go.. I need to vent out somewhere. So I created an account today. BTW. I have never ever been diagnosed with any sort ...

Out of control social media posts

Hi,

I'm newly diagnosed borderline personality and one thing that has really affected me is posting out of control TMI emotional posts on social media (instagram, facebook) about how lonely I am and have been single too long. I want to stop these posts but as my doctor mentioned they serve a purpose - it's my messed up way of reaching out because I don't know how to do that. Anyone have practical tips on ...

BPD and NPD anyone?

Is anyone here diagnosed bpd and npd?
I’m really beginning to think I am partly in denial of also being NPD. But at the same time, I’m not sure awareness is a good thing.
I think I am also NPD or have traits at the least. I think what happens with me is in any phase of my life either my bpd or npd dominates... its complex though, I don’t really understand it.
There are ...

Posting TMI on social media

I can’t stop posting overly personal things on Instagram about how hard it is to date.
And how no one will date me because I’m a single parent. I always feel out of control and embarrassed after I post them. I’ve been single 10 years and this comes from a place of grief.

I want to stop posting but how? I have borderline personality and maybe am looking for validation I am lovable. I was ...

Can’t stop posting negative things online

Hi, I have borderline personality disorder and cannot stop
posting negative things online.
It comes from a place of extreme hurt. For example, I’ve been single for 10 years and post things about men treating me like I’m worthkess and standing me up on dates. I post this on my private Instagram and no one knows how to respond. I’d like to stop doing that but something about it is therapeutic. I’m a multiple time ...

Does your dx hinder you?

i was wondering how many people have felt that their BPD / EUPD dx has in some way prevented them from getting certain help, or has made certain people (both medical/mental health related and not) treat them differently.

i'm asking because my psychiatric nurse is refusing to give me a diagnosis review despite my therapist personally contacting her about the matter. my nurse's reasoning is that "eupd has a wide variety of symptoms" and that ...
