How can I help my BPD daughter?

My daughter is 19 and is Borderline and Bipolar Type 1. I want to help her but I'm afraid to make her dependent on me.

Background: CYS removed her from my home when she was 17 because she had many violent attacks against her younger siblings, the last one involving a knife and my then 11 yr old. I signed the papers releasing custody to the state. She was placed in foster care and went ...

Unresponsive to DBT

A year ago, around this month I had a motivational spark to make new friends, maintain friendships, find a relationship, and be more mentally stable with my borderline condition. Did one year of DBT since then and nothing has changed or improved even slightly. Still have no friends, any social life, a girlfriend or feel stable. As I type this I'm drugged out of my mind to just tolerate the pain. Illicit substances have been ...

I just figured that I should share this..

in order to feel more accepted..

is to be more myself, share more of my thinking, be more honest with my feelings and share it, express it..
if I don't like something.. say it
If I hate something, say it also
don't hide
if I don't want something, express that
the more I show my real self, it means that I am more acceptance of myself.. and ...

Recently Diagnosed

I was recently diagnosed with BPD and not sure how to explain it to people. I’m always being told “just get over it” or “do something to keep you busy” like it would magically fix everything. So I’ve come to the point where I just keep things to myself. I have been lot of research to the point that it’s all I’ve been researching but the only person who seems to understand me is my ...

Can someone try to help me understand my mind..

So this is going to be a little bit of a long post but anyone that can take the time to read and reply to it I'd greatly appreciate it.

Well I want to start this off by saying that I have been to a few therapists and psychiatrist already, one has suggested bipolar is the cause but I on the other hand believe I am Borderline..
I am 22 years old, I have been ...

BPD and ADD?

Hello everyone
I am a woman in my mid twenties, and I was diagnosed with bpd a couple years back.
I have been in therapy since, and doing a semi-stable regimen of mood stabilizers, combined with yoga and mindfulness. There were improvements, however I always felt like there as something else going on with my brain, like I can't focus, or think precisely, and I am ...

romantic attraction/ out of my league

I have a habit of either attracted to players who provide me with strong stimulation of excitment (with my emotions going up and down, being drawn close to them and then being pushed away)..
or attracted to guys who are out of my league, they are either very smart, phd graduate from stanford, entrepreneur, banker.. people who are way smarter than me and ending up played me, used me and treated me like $#%^.
I ...

quiet bpd, aggression/intimidation toward animals

Are there any quiet borderlines here?

I don't outwardly rage often, I mostly keep it inside, but when I do it's directed toward animals mostly. I don't hit them ever but I scream and am very angry and intimidating.

I was at a gig recently where there are three cats, only one of which likes me and is cuddly. I tried to pet the only girl, who is terrified of the two other boys and ...

I find it gets hard as I am reliant on my parents financially partly - food & rent- I ...

Vengeful and Broken

On 2015, (I was nineteen) I went on a date with a thirty year old man; still a virgin with limited amount of sexual experience and never did I fall in love before him. We dated for fifteen days during which we did sexual things, and he also made me feel bad about myself(Called me bipolar, insinuated I was fat, blatenty checked girls out in front of me, and created unnecessarily petty drama for no ...
