Hi guys,

quick question (I hope) is it possible to be borderline and bi-polar?
if not, what are the differences between the 2?

from anything I have read, I don't think borderlines get the high (mania)... but then bi-polar doesn't have the abandonment thing...

i am pretty new here to the forums, and i have done some posting around in different categories, but this is the first time i've posed a question/asked for advice, so please be gentle.

i have bpd, and i have severe moodswings. i know moodswings are very normal/common for people with bpd, but sometimes i worry that i am going insane.

My mother has many mental health issues, that some are hereditary. i grew up with bulimia, bpd, and bipolar and ocd, as a child .

I am in the process (with the help of a psych) in dealing with the BPD diagnosis as well as about 15 years of abuse.
