Borderline- Narcissist combination?

Has anybody experienced Narcissistic -Borderline combination behavioral patters?

I came across the description below which matches my partners behavior. She is a Narcissist (or I think) but is lacking initiative, needy and dependent. No suicidal thoughts at all.

Any insight?

* Splitting: the self and others are viewed as "all good" or "all bad." Someone with BPD said, "One day I would think my doctor was the best and I loved her, but if she ...

Parents of BPD children -- Share your experiences

Hi y'all,

(I hope this isn't against board policy! Please delete, and I'm really sorry if it is.)

I'm part of a comprehensive BPD study at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, New York, and we're looking for parents to anonymously share their experiences. **Our research is for parents, by parents** and really doesn't mean much without the help of support communities!

Again, everything is anonymous, and the survey is at:

I think I've found myself....

So much describes me here. I have a wonderful husband (not perfect, but not abusive in any way) and two children. I have put him through so much and it's all layed out here for me to see. In one aspect, I feel relieved to know there is a "reason", or "condition" causing this....but I feel terrified also.
I fight the rage so often when I percieve abandonment from my husband. I give into it ...

how do you deal with someone who won't take the time to understand your disorder? you try to tell them that you need them, but they just keep tearing you down.

Do borderlines ever feel remorse?

I know that antisocials and narcissists only care about themselves and have no conscious whatsoever, but are borderlines the same? After a borderline has just got done screaming at you about how much of a worthless person you are and then they appologize later, are they actually sorry or are they playing control games with you like narcissists often do?

What Health Insurance provider/plan supports BPD & DBT?

Hello! I am currently undiagnosed with BPD but after reading some literature I am aware that I show all of the traits in one form or another.

I am uninsured and just started a new job, and I don't qualify for coverage for 6 months.

I am at my wit's end and simply can not afford treatment on my own. If I don't seek treatment soon, I am afraid of what will happen to me. ...
