Newly Self Diagnosed Male BPD'er

Hey all my name is Keith and I'm 21. I'm new here as of today and I guess I just wanted to say what's up? I guess I've always kind of known that I was mentally unstable. But throughout my life, I've dealt with a lot and I made it my purpose to ignore it. I think now that time is up. I've been doing a lot of research on and off about mental health, ...

Help Now If Possible

i'm just experiencing a panicky moment, teetering at the point where it all starts to cascade. What do I do , try to breathe, think logical thought.
The situation is a repeat of two months ago when I ended up in the hospital

BPD and age...

A councillor recently told me that most BPD symptons disappear when the person reaches roughly 35....

Is this true or a load of rubbish?

;)

Thanks. x

I can't seem to find the courage to move out

Hi, I am new to the board and this is my first post.

I've been living with my GF for 6 months now and we both think that due to factors like...
- our lifestyles, situations, preferences so are widely different (money, type of jobs, schedules, how to spend free time, room temperature....everything except for sex).
- her apt is so far from my job it would be easier if i lived closer
- basically ...

desperate and struggling alone!

My mother was always angry with me (I was a naughty child though) or in a bad mood about something, but always had a smile ready for everyone outside the house. I ask for help and she snaps at me because she has 'her own problems to deal with'. She is also the one who then turns around and criticises me for not telling her what is going on. She invalidates your feelings after asking ...

An Update and Med Issues ...Again.

Gosh, I haven't been here in a while! Update of sorts before I get to the main point, you can skip this.

I've started classes at an art school, and it's been an amazing experience! More freedom than I imagined, as silly as that sounds; I've gotten into a routine, I have so many new friends that I actually LIKE. I've even told a few of them about my BPD and they basically don't care ...

Why Am I The Bad Guy Here?

I gave Red 2 month notice on when I wanted him out.
We broke up, and he needs to move out.
He has 2 weeks left, including this week, and he has no idea where he's going to go.
He says he'll sleep in a park...
Because he refuses to move back in with him parents.

I feel awful! I don't want to throw the man I love out on the street to sleep in ...

Could bereavement have "made" me borderline?

Now I know bereavement can't "make" you borderline... But this question is really important to me. Let me explain.

I was a pretty narcissistic teenager, prone to "borderline moments" and pretty much totally insecure... But that's kinda normal, isn't it? I don't know how normal a teenager I really was, kinda weird, but in a typical way. I was definitely predisposed to a borderline condition (dissociative issues, self-estrangement) from an early age. HOWEVER.

It's almost ...

Public Speaking....

I hate it!

I've always hated it and its just occured to me that it's probably part of the BPD!

Does anyone else hate it? Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom for me on how to get through it? I have to give a presentation next Thursday. EEK!

Thanks.
