To the BP's: Question about splitting

Is there anything that triggers the splitting? I would love to know. It's very hard on the days that I am regarded one way and then minutes later I am treated as a different person. I have tried to understand and it has come down to me tip-toeing around him. There are days he loves me; and days that I have ruined everything and I am nothing he thought I was in the beginning and ...

I would like to help her

Hi guys, I'm a non 2 months separated from my ex, whom I believe has BPD.

I used that time and did some research into everything about our relationship. I have codependent traits, but I don't believe I am a full blown codependent. The relationship played out exactly as anyone who knows about BPD would expect. After 13 months she became so dissatisfied she cheated on me. We broke up, she saying she needed time ...

My boss took advantage of me, and I let him

I don't know where to post this, so sorry if I didn't put it in the correct spot. I have BPD, and if you read any bit of what I had posted here, I'm going through a really rough time and this just tops the cake. I also dealt with it like a total moron. Please don't chew me out for being an idiot. I would really appreciate some advice of what I should/can do ...

Part pathologically narcissistic, part borderline.

My narcissism wants me to post. My borderline wants me to hide. My dichotomy is extreme, although there is overlap because of the cluster B-ness of it all.

What I was interested from borderlines regards dysphoria. I experience it 4-7 days a week and was wondering ways, besides substance abuse, SI (which i have now turned into substance abuse) and narcissism to fill, to deal with it.

In fact it gets worse after I fill ...

Trying To Find A Way...

This is the first time writing in a forum of sorts. I have always blogged my thoughts and feelings were no one could read them online. This is new so bare with me.

My name is Alicia. I have been diagnosed with BPD for 10 years now. For the first 6 years of my diagnosis, I blew it off, never wanted to be put on meds for more than a couple months at a time, ...

Is Mom BPD?

Hi all,
wondering if you can help me. My mother is emotionally unstable and abusive, and I've been wondering what the cause of it could be. I'm thinking it might be BPD, but I'm not sure, and from what I've read it seems a complex and debatable diagnosis.

Basically she gets enraged, often at misconceptions of some insult or something, and completely loses control of herself. She acts totally hysterical- screaming, violent, accusatory, insulting. She ...

Comorbidity within BPD and Effect on Perspectives

Who else here has BPD with comorbid diagnoses? Such as another personality disorder, another mood disorder, anything really. How does that affect the way you interact/relate to other borderlines? How to you deal with the added complication to an already complicated PD?

For those with only BPD diagnoses, did getting an official diagnosis change the way you viewed yourself? Have you ever wondered whether you have undiagnosed comorbid conditions and if so, which ones? Would ...

Still grieving over my BPD ex

In the first 5 months, I felt some of the most intense love of my life with her-- the connection, what we had in common.
We glowed and sparkled together. By 10 months, I had fully broken up with her due to crazy bx when I would separate from her (she'd develop physical symptoms and demand my caretaking, or her dog would suddenly have a burst cyst, or she'd just rage), also alcohol issues (daily ...
