Is he still interested? D: [long pathetic ramble]

Ok, I feel like a loser for making a thread about such things but I need your advice on whether the guy I'm currently seeing is interested in me or not.

We started talking on msn a fair few weeks ago. The first time we actually had a conversation on msn he ended up calling me.
Then after that we were talking on the phone quite frequently. At this time he was on holidays in ...

Compulsive need to control others?

Anyone else get this? It's horrible because I am very possessive and I like to have control over my boyfriends. It makes breaking up very difficult for me because I no longer have the control and it hurts, I end up going crazy to still try and maintain the control, so that they don't flirt with other girls or manage to get with anyone.

Does anyone else get this? Is it a borderline thing or ...

Do your thoughts seem reational to you?

All my thoughts emotions and behaviors , especially my thinking, seem rational to me. I try to think rationally,I automatically think rationally, or so it seems to me. But it appears pretty obvious to me that BPD's I know often do not thinkr rationally and I was wondering if they perceive their own thoughts that way as they are having them.

A question about Abandonment

hi I havent been diagnosed with BPD but i've been very curious. i just have a question about one of the symtpoms
I know that one of the symptoms is frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment. Ive heard some people describe their feelings of abandonment when they are left alone even for a short period of time. Is this always the case with people who have BPD??
I feel like i have a ...

Questions from BPD to Nons

I just thought it would be interesting to hear a bit more from Nons and Normies about how their minds work and what it's like for them to NOT have BPD or any PD for that matter.

A friend of mine told me the other day that she read somewhere that non-disordered people are only able to hear the actual words other people say and don’t usually look for or pick up on innuendoes and ...

nutshell?

I posted a couple weeks ago about how and when to tell my significant other that I have BPD (he knows I have "a mental illness"), and last weekend I broke down crying to him when I came to visit (we're kind of doing a long distance thing while I'm in college for the semester, it's working out suprisingly well) about how I can tell everyone but him which mental illness I have.

So I ...

My two BPD friends both were defined by this..

The single most glaring trait that BOTH of the BPD's I have known had was they made such a big deal out of things a non BPD would not do so. Nothing is able to be shrugged off. THey amplified everything. As if that were a result of their being invalidated as a child, their thoughts emotions and behaviors suppressed, and now they blast out to the max. Or maybe thats what they did at ...

Best description of BPD is the one in DSM IV

The best and most detailed description of BPD is the DSM IV Borderline Personality Disorder offering on Google. Man there sure are a lot of expressions and behaviors of that disorder. It sounds almost as if another force has taken over their mind, their personality, although I have bought into ELias saying each person chooses , via a combination of the inner and conscious aspects of his consciousness, all of his experiences and there is no ...
