I failed again.. :( **may trigger**

I've been trying to keep my cool real hard lately. I've had a difficult week. Last night, I had to deal with babysitting my mother so she wouldn't drink. For those of you who haven't read my previous posts.. I do that because if I don't I'll be up until early in the morning making sure she doesn't accidentally hurt herself (it's happened a few times). Yes, it's not my responsibility but when you're right ...

Personality Tests- PLEASE TAKE!

I saw a thread in the AsPD forum with these tests and I took them all. Just like my MMPI scores they are all over the board in their results

Of course these are NOT diagnostic testsof any kind; but I'm wondering if some of the other BPD's could/would take them too and post your results up here?

I'm BPD & HPD by Dx, but I ...

Is my wife correct that BDP is our problem?

OK, I'm not sure how to say all this so I'll just let it all out I guess :)

I am diagnosed with Bipolar/OCD and Borderline Personality. However, I have since been told by doctors that I don't fit BDP. I was originally diagnosed with it because my OCD got out of control and I was showing a lot of classic BDP behaviors plus when I was ...

Can you relate?

I thought this quote was really good...accurate for me, and I wanted to share it with you guys! It's from the book Girl, Interrupted (original, I know :P )

"I associated meat with suicide, because of passing out at the meat counter. But I knew there was more to it. The meat was bruised, bleeding and imprisoned in a tight wrapping. And, though I had a six ...

why so serious!!!

Maybe the joker from batman had bpd....in amongst his bag of dis-orders.
anyway this isn't about the joker. I just like the line from the movie "why soooo serIOUS!!

I am a very serious person most of the time and when I am not like this which is briefly...then I guess I am the total opposite. Foolish, curiously absurd, silly and humorous...at least until I question why? and feel vulnerable...and then I put my guard ...

DBT workbooks

I decided I am going to order some DBT books so I can start working on treatment for myself. At least so I can feel like I'm making progress while I try and get into therapy. And since I don't have insurance I am expecting crap care (it's what I've been getting so far). My hope is that the workbooks can tide me over until I have insurance again in September (when I go back ...

Borderlines are right to fear abandonment

How many borderlines here want a lot of good friends and good relationships with their partners?

How many have either of the two?

So people are leaving us, over and over and over.

Why?

Non-judgement and DBT mindfulness- dont understand

How does one apply "non-judgement" when it comes to others?

I understand that labelling people all good or all bad is a cognitive distortion (black and white thinking). But if we don't make evaluations of people, then aren't we prone to being taken advantage of by others with bad motivations? In mindfulness they teach you to let go of judgmental thoughts, but should that apply all the time- if not , when do you use ...
